Insta..yeah, you know already. With the "I already own a bunch of their stuff" discount. it's a done deal. Arturia is on a sustained roll.
We shall see orchestral machines with a thousand new sounds, with thousands of new euphonies, as opposed to the present day's simple sounds of strings, brass, and woodwinds. -- George Antheil, circa 1925 ---

It’s really well thought out and sounds great. Do you need it if you have any of the others, probably not. That being said insta buy from me.

love it..the midi out is much appreciated <3 as are the sequencer, fx, modulation and distortion modules.

Well I bought it on discount ($49) and didn't even know about the MIDI output. Was going to suggest it, but it's already there! Now the sequencer has become something serious.

I'm not interested in 303 sounds but that sequencer looks surprisingly deep. :o

Does anyone know if you can set the root note when you change the scale or is everything assumed to be based on C?

I was hoping for a different Roland.

I think what Arturia does particularly well is operation and function. Their synths are just fun to use, and have the functionality you want/expect. So, nothing wrong with (yet) another 303.

Unlikely another Roland in Collection 10 but maybe? If not, hope for the JX-8P in 11. Long wait, I know.

Sounds good but I really don't need with owning a xoxbox and Phoscyon, but I guess I'll get it at some point in time when I upgrade my V collection in a few years time

does it have midi out? i see the drag sequence to DAW function but couldn't find any info about the sequencer having midi out.. even cruised the manual.

Okay just installed the demo and it's a LOT of fun, especially when you realize you can route the sequencer to...whatever you want, like Repro-1 or MS-20 :hihi:

Speaking of which, I don't think Arturia's MS-20 filter is part of the multifilter modes in the onboard FX, is it?

EDIT, apparently not - Bit of a pity since they took the time to add the Juno Chorus and a couple more from the FX collection...

Also it would be neat if we could swap the main 303-style filter with any of the multifilter modes, I don't think it can be done but that'd make Acid the ultimate bassline synthesizer.

(But then again I feel like I'm nitpicking over a very solid release).

Regards,

I refuse to give them a single penny until they apologize to everyone who listens to music with drums and do something to rectify the anti-drum bias that clearly exists at the highest levels within Arturia. Only a change in leadership can rectify that at this point. Nothing less will do.

303 goes very nicely with an 808, surely it's a hint.
