Bit cheeky charging $129.00 for two instruments with basically the same sounds. Doesn't show much good faith does it? It's great that JV-1080 was created as an option, and perhaps XV-5080 owners were given a discount. But for the rest of us, it's just a bit cheeky.

The only sounds that would be different are the ones in the additional sound packs, e.g the Don Solaris one, although, as you say, they still use the same samples.egbert101 wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2023 10:38 pm Bit cheeky charging $129.00 for two instruments with basically the same sounds. Personally I go between not being able to hear a difference and detecting a very slight tonal difference between the JV 1080 vs the XV & Zenology presets. I get the impression that Zenology has all the XV presets in which case it makes both of them redundant, especially as you could then do way more with those presets in Zenology Pro, like swap out the filters. If you don't need to do any editing then even just Zenology would suffice.

Hi,
I would love to see a Roland D-70 Synth emulation in Roland Cloud, that sounds very authentic to the good old classic LA Synth. The D-70. I recall playing one back when it was released, and it had some of the best sounding Pads I have ever played on a Synth. How awesome it would be to have the good old D-70 synth in a Virtual Format.
Please Roland, give us a fantastic sounding D-70 via Roland Cloud.
Thanks,
Muziksculp

The Concerto/Anthology-1990 is a sampled D-70, but I agree it would be nice to have an actual synth plugin.

Thank you Roland for updating all of your remaining plugins to VST3 and making them AS nativeAtlatnesiti wrote: Wed Aug 09, 2023 12:27 pmRoland has updated another 6 plugins to meet AS native compatibilityMogular wrote: Tue Aug 08, 2023 12:42 pm Sort of Apple Silicon. VST3 for JV and XV is working but the CPU overloads make it unusable. Audio unit is exactly the same, completely unusable.
D50 works well![]()
Thanks heaps, only 10 to go...
BTW; 0 (zero) CPU spikes on my Mac mini Pro 2, works as intended![]()
As it stands, only Concerto is blacklisted by Cubase Pro 12 - read somewhere that its been not supported anymore... is this true?
Anyway, never used it, so don't care much about it...
Many, many thanks again

I wouldn’t personally suggest a Roland synth plugin for ambient pads over something like Dune 3. But, only when it’s on sale again, it gets knocked down in price briefly every few months.

It is half price of the jv1080 and you can find all the JV presets for it online.

Hey Muziksculp. I agree a D-70 or D-70 patch collection/upgrade would be a very cool addition to the series. I've made a note of it for you. Thanks for the feedback!Muziksculp wrote: Tue Aug 22, 2023 8:40 pm Hi,

Hey Atlatnesiti, of course! It's been a longtime coming and I'm glad we are finally reaching closure with these updates. And that is correct, Concerto is no longer supported.Atlatnesiti wrote: Wed Aug 23, 2023 12:19 pm Thank you Roland for updating all of your remaining plugins to VST3 and making them AS native![]()

I'm having all the same problems that I was having with the JV and XV plugins. All of the SRX plugins also display the exact same issue. High CPU usage and constant clicks and pops.
I have updated to the very latest version of Ventura. These are the exact same issues that used to exist with system 1, but thankfully no longer exist on that plugin.
I'm guessing there's something in the compilation which is causing problems, and you guys haven't quite sorted that out yet.
Mac M1 Max 64gb, latest Logic, Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.
I do not have these problems with any other plugin and I have many.
