Oh and I would have preferred a modulation sequencer rather than those envelope/curve modulations. Those can be automated from a DAW pretty easily. Modulation built within the sequencer is handy in a seq like this.
+1 for both points.

They should add "follower" button so it auto scrolls when reaches the end of the screen with 16 steps parts to make it more organized.

Modulation with sequencer would be nice also :tu:
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

As often happens with arturia synths, I listen and say hey that sounds really nice. Then I open up a competitor that another dev has done, like ABL3 in this case, and I go "oh no wait this is the stuff". Every time. I do really like this Acid V, but I open ABL3 and it just sounds more I dunno, physical.

Post

Unlikely to get this as I already have ABL and Phoscyon. But interested in the sequencer for TD3 control. A while back but I vaguely remember Phoscyon etc don't trigger TD3 slides? My TD3 almost never gets used just because I hate the sequencer so much, pity really as I like it, but unusable. Anyone tested out if it sends full sequence to TD3 (going away for a few days today, can't play in studio...)

So one confirmation of midi out in FL Studio ( as opposed to midi clip drag and drop). Has anyone got it to work in Ableton? Live is not brilliant at midi routing.
Bro what lmao? It is literally 5 mouse clicks:

Click 1: Midi From
Click 2: Acid V
Click 3: "Post FX" to Click 4: "Acid V"
Click 5: Monitor to "In"
Thanks for this. I haven’t actually tried the demo yet and was just looking for confirmation that it was an option as there was some confusion in the thread.
Live can be a pain with some plugins because of its inability to output midi from a track on multiple midi channels.

I totally agree with you. That said, Acid V is really good. Just some slight issues with the resonant behavior, IMO.

Goes to show that I'm interested in a synth that I'm not really interested in. :D Frankly, in terms of operation and function, Arturia's synths are among the very best. If they aren't THE best.

Hmmmm...quick glance at vids - good looking sequencer tools. Like the modulation. So it def does offer some difference to Phoscyon in that respect. Not sure the modulation is enough to make me buy it (automation works mostly for me) but I really do like the look of the sequencer and some of the esoteric transform doodads. Reasonable price for a new toy methinks. Ah fukit! I do NOT need four 303s. Must resist. :borg:

exactly same happened to me ! Nevertheless, bought it for 49.-.
And finally bought ABL3 also. i was in demo mode. ABL3 is the king for me !
i start now my soft Acid frenzy, hehe.

the demo mode with acid V just pissed me off.
But i liked the sequenzes the acid V has. It will add for me something to the table beside the ABL3.
it was a take or leave. I´d not started the demo again.
But that price was fair. Dig that.

The acid V reminds me soundwise to all other "analog" Arturias.
Somehow they seem to share all the same engine under the hood. YMMV
Not to fond of that sound. But with some external saturation/OD was it good.
I think it just needs some additional EQing.
The sound was for my taste finally a match with some of the sequenzes.
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

I REALLY like this. The modulation options are terrific and generally well-implemented. The sequencer is great. The distortions sound terrific. Not really a whole lot to dislike here IMO. This might be a 303 I actually use. Kudos to Arturia on this one.

Don't really need an 303 emulation, I literally only thinking of getting it for 49€, because that would give me a lower price for V-Collection 10, whenever that is dropping.

Do you already have V-Collection 9? If so, I *think* (could be wrong) that your upgrade price from 9 to 10 would be unchanged by any singles you own in addition to V 9.
A well-behaved signature.

Yeah I own V-Collection 9 and FX collection 3 and this already loweres the price for Acid V. It's usually how arturia prices work, owning more plugin from them will lower your upgrade price.

I agree that owning V 9 and FX 3 is probably lowering your price for Acid V. I'm just not sure that, already owning what you own, owning Acid V will lower your upgrade price to V 10 when it comes out.

for me its the most fun i had with a synth in a long time. i dont even do any ACID with it, just use it for basslines and synth riffs. i sounds so amazing and the sequencer and the the FX are just insane

Post

Good. Don’t do acid with your synths. They might start chasing you.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP
