I'm sceptical of all PA releases that aren't NEOLD
Sure, it looks like a Silver Bullet, just like SPL Iron looks like an SPL Iron, and Shadow Hills plugins look like....
I'll wait to hear comparisons with hardware (not from paid Youtubers) or demo it myself.

As usual with Hardware it will be about 90% there, which doesnt mean that it wont be a good sounding and useful Plugin.

I'm definitely going to pay $229.99 for this right now and not wait until it's $29.99

The predictable "wait until it's $29.99" stuff is inevitable and if someone can do that, great. I'm not so sure with this one that'll ever happen though, because it's not strictly a PA release and being also sold by LTL who's the creator and not just lending their endorsement and likeness. I could see it being a $99 (only lower with voucher), but I'm not sure LTL would allow it to devalue lower. That's my guess anyway.
It's definitely (to me) worth the $150-179 asking price it can be had for now, but that's different for everyone.
=========================
I've had an MK1 since 2018 and it was literal love at first listen. Virtually nothing could get me to part with it aside from an MK2. I do mastering as passion project and side hustle and it's been on everything I've touched since unboxing (hundreds of projects now), so I know it very well.
This plugin is just bonkers. I mean, I was expecting something decent, Brad doesn't seem like the type to just slap a rendered GUI on anything and call it day, but I really didn't expect this. Setting the plugin and my MK1 similarly (limiting the features on the plugin) it's close. Not in the ballpark, not 'pretty much there' -- it's right freaking there.
I hate trying to quantify subjective differences and saying '3-5%' or whatever, because that's still going to mean something different to everyone and up to interpretation. We all have a different perceptions and internal scales. If I said '5% or less' someone would insist I'm wrong, I can't hear, it's 'night and day different' or whatever. It's the internet after all.
For me, when I close my eyes and go back and forth between the two, the hardware still has a slightly better image and openness to it. There's just a touch more polish overall. That said, if I couldn't A/B the two directly, you took one of my masters with close settings on the plugin, had me listen to it and told me it was the hardware, I'm pretty sure I'd believe it without much question.

I'll cross post most of what I posted on GS. You should obviously demo no matter what. I'm sure someone will post high quality files comparing the hardware to the plugin if they haven't already but try the plugin on your own for sure.MogwaiBoy wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 10:13 pm I'll wait to hear comparisons with hardware (not from paid Youtubers) or demo it myself.

I'll up the numbers to around 95% after reading thru the GS thread.El°HYM wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 10:23 pm As usual with Hardware it will be about 90% there, which doesnt mean that it wont be a good sounding and useful Plugin.

Their latest have sounded really good (the oven, natalus dsceq, amek mastering compressor, silver bullet). SPL Iron also sounds good, regardless of whether or not it sounds like the hardware or what it looks like in plugin doctor.MogwaiBoy wrote: Fri Aug 25, 2023 10:13 pm I'm sceptical of all PA releases that aren't NEOLD
