Could you live with one DAW and one developer’s bundle?

I don't think so.
I need pro tools and cubase for collabs.
Personally I could live with just Logic.
as for plugin bundles... no i couldn't. No point in listing them, there aren't many that i deem essential but there's more than two.
But, FabFilter + u-he would take care of the most and i could live with these two

Yes I could. I only use one DAW(Cubase)and have only done that. There's not point using different DAWs since they do the same thing. I've seen pro's using only stock plugins(Pro Tools) and killer mixes so plugin X or Y doesn't matter. It's your knowledge that does. If I had started today I wouldn't buy third party plugins except for a few of them. Cubases plugins back then were not good enough but for a long time they have.

With fabfilter for me the point is speed. I can just get what i need much faster than with some other tools, and when you need to churn out X many things, it matters at the end of the dayDaimonicon wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 10:52 am Yes I could. Thou shall not live by one DAW and developer's bundle alone.

My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

Bitwig and NI would cover everything pretty much for me.

Yes it's possible ... Ableton Live Suite and XLN audio . Id get by that's more than enough . StudioOne , Reason+ , Cubase , Reaper , or Logic and add Native Instruments is another option. Im just really amazed by Ableton live Suite and couldn't see myself getting off of XLN audio due to Addictive Drums2 . I feel like acoustic drums is a must and I feel XLN fits me best .

Easily. Logic and IK Multi. Logic's Drum Designer is really not bad. It has great synths and FX.
I could even do it all ITB, but I'd have to mic my VOX (the horror!)
Before IK got everything ARM Native, I set up a template with just stock Logic stuff.
People should learn their DAWs like the back of their hand before splurging for fancy 3rd party stuff.
Says the guy who, when he got Logic in 2007, proceeded to start buying too many plugins because he couldn't be bothered learning what he already had.
If I were to do it today, that is how I would start.
