I'm looking forward to demoing it next week (away at the moment). Initially I thought it too similar to Phoscyon2 to warrant buying, but the more I see of it, the more points of difference are apparent. Arp, modulation, big enough differences in the sequencer features, hopefully the distortion modes are different too? Sometimes I feel Phoscyon distortion is a tad to soft-sounding when I want real aggression from it. I could see me using both. ABL3 doesn't get used nowadays..too basic IMO.

I agree with comments about maybe veering off the path a bit more. I remember some plugin maybe 15yrs ago? That was a modular type silver box with patch cabling ability, started off as a 202/303 emu then they released the modular version for more experimental stuff. Can't remember what it was called but it was very good. I'd instantly buy a new version of that. Whatever though, they should sell quite a few of these, it looks great.

I think you are referring to ABL Pro.

This one sounds much better to me than the others, and also than the original, thanks to the sophisticated saturation modes. The extra fine controls are nice, too. Also finally no annoying step sequencer, but a full sequencer.

Sounds great, lovely sequencer (lots of good features) and good solid modulation options.

Only thing I'm missing is a volume knob for main out.

Strange place to put the volume/mix knob. Afterthought? Did they forget it in the pretty GUI? LOL.

same place as Pigments and Minifreak, i don't have any of their other synths, maybe that's standard for Arturia

I have V Collection 9, checked a dozen instruments, they all have either a volume knob or slider directly on the GUI. Even my crappy Behringer clone TD-3 has a giant volume knob. It's probably an oversight during designing the GUI.

Some of the NI synths have it there as well, and, it makes sense, as the upper bar is usually the place for all general controls which control the whole synth.

It's also mentioned in the manual, which should be the first place to look if you don't find something. :P

Let's just move on. I was stupid for not seeing/understanding where the volume knob was. Sorry. Ok? :)

Clearly it's a mistake and oversight. Hopefully Arturia can add a nice big volume knob in a future update.

Yeah, that's the one. It was a good 'un but more of a pimped 202 than a 303. Something like that based on a 303 would be instabuy from me.

The new synths will be unlocked on Analog Lab only if you own their license.

From Arturia forum:
guillaume.arturia wrote: Analog Lab V 5.7.4.371 already includes Acid V, however the engine and the presets will be only accessible to Acid V owners unfortunately.

So, to see it displayed this requires to have a valid Acid V license and have it properly activated through the Arturia Software Center.
