Monzter Guitars - anyone using?

Just wondering if anyone is using this guitar library, as it seems good value for £23. I have signed up for that Vintaudio group buy (thanks to the person who brought it to my attention on here! ) and will be getting a guitar library through that...will this render Montzer Guitars as a waste of money. Any opinions appreciated...

They seem totally different to me. The Vintaudio guitars are extremely realistic unprocessed guitars, with (I think) each note multisampled.

I think Mozter Guitars are distorted processed chords. To me they sound very artificial (much more than Virtual Guitarist Electronic Edition--but there is a big price difference), but the might be very useful for sort of Trent Reznor type guitar techno stuff.

Just one man's opinion based on hearing the mp3's of both of them.

Well the Vintaudio ones will likely fit into many different styles of track and from the demos I heard, they do sound very clean. However, I do have the urge to do some darker, more industrial type stuff and I doubt that the Vintaudio ones will work so well for that.

The demos for Monzter guitar sounded okay (in the context they were being used in) but I just wondered whether the sample set is going to be very restrictive in the range of sounds you can get from them (if they are already very processed it limits the options for using different distortions etc on them).

Hi!

The Monzter guitars SampleSet is one sound, 2 stacked unison guitars in stereo, fifth notes long with release samples and staccato. Very playable via keyboard. We will have more demos up after christmas, none of the slides and scrapes are demoed in the 3 demos thats available now.
