Must be hard to compete with the Roland Cloud stuff. Especially considering the cymbals are samples that Roland would never in a million years let anyone else use. The hihat in my opinion is one of the most distinctive and iconic sounds of the 909 and you can't synthesize a sample.

Phosycon 2 is much better than the Roland tb303 and I bet d16 will also release the best 909.
I also like lush2 more than the Roland 101, but Tal and softube are miles ahead to the Roland emulation. Roland only has the copyright and the best d50 and 880 emulations with high price tags ….

There's a randomizer in the video I posted, if you look hard enough.Caine123 wrote: Mon Sep 04, 2023 11:42 am always interested in roland alternatives without a cloud crap system

Many sample libraries existed way before any of the Roland Cloud stuff and everyone can use some tricks to get a pass on this. The point is when it comes to samples it is a non-issue. It has been debated for two decades.NAD wrote: Mon Sep 04, 2023 9:55 am Must be hard to compete with the Roland Cloud stuff. Pretty sure there will be an upgrade path for existing users but this is another guess of mine,.

Interface updatenlooks nice, but mostly curious about sound improvements. Roland cloud really has drumazon 1 beat, especially the snare. Though I did always appreciate the extra parameters in drumazon.

D16 can easily circumvent the hihat sample problem by having a slightly altered sample, just like everybody else does. Also, they could add sample import to it (maybe it already has it?)
