1. I watch a lot of reaction videos. Younger people reacting to old boy music and they genuinely seem to love it. They pick up on the themes, the rhythms, the classy guitar solos, the vocals, the harmonies, the unexpected harmonic twists and turns. Non musicians with great insight. They are certainly not dumb.

2. vurt is a hippy.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

But those immortals are not always out in the open, depending on your circumstances. For instance, I hated the music of the 70s, because to me it all seemed to be bad disco. I discovered music from the 60s because they released The Blue and Red Beatles compilation albums and Got To Get You Into My Life charted and was being played on the pop radio station my mom put on in the car. Meanwhile, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, and the Talking Heads were making epic music that I’d later grow to love, but I had no idea it existed. Hell, I thought The Who was heavy metal music because one of the bullies who picked on me and my friends often wore their tee shirt.

I was later lucky to have a friend who had an older brother who had a great catalog of music, and he lent me a bunch of great albums. I imagine kids today are benefiting from similar exposure, but many will not. The question I ask is, who is the current Who, Beatles, Police, King Crimson, etc? I’m sure they’re probably out there, and some have hit some level of fame, but many are obscure and my current orbit does not cross theirs, usually. I used to get good tips from Pandora, but it seems to have dried up for some reason. I discovered some pretty good stuff on it, but now when I use that stuff to seed new channels, or new stuff that I found, I don’t seem to get anything new. I don’t know what the next Pandora is. Maybe AI will start being able to suggest stuff from YouTube or something.

Nah...
I only appreciate the music I like. All that other guff is just meh...

It's so cheap because it got cracked to death in the 90's/2000's. 1997 Sound on Sound article says: the Windows version of the L1 for Sound Forge on its own was £449, and that the individual Macintosh TDM versions together would have cost in excess of £2000! And it had a USB dongle of its own.

It's so cheap because of technological advancement and competition.

Wavosaur does much of what Sound Forge did and it is a freeware app. Who is going to buy Sound Forge now?

I feel this, but gatekeeping music with money would be insane, there's a lot of great talent, I bet when madeon was 16 he didn't have any money to spend but he made bangers :D

and plus i seem to stay inside more often
thanks a lot covid
less of walking around outside
listening to complete strangers'
choice of music coming from their car and stuff

i remember being in a strip joint
my delinquent "friend" dragged me there, easily
never heard "in the evening" before
next day, got "in through the out door" at the used cd store
