BRAINWORX bx_clipper

The Brainworx bx_clipper truncates the peaks of waveforms above a set threshold level. It allows you to create mixes that playback louder without increasing their peak level. Unlike a limiter, bx_clipper increases loudness while avoiding squashed pumping effects.

149€ seems quite affordable compared to Schwabe Gold Clip for 249€.

I'm also set with Clippers. Got a bunch of different ones and while it's fun to have those different options I just don't need another one.

Ill wait for it to be $19 or lower myself. Tho tbh i dont really put much stock in PA anymore. Even tho they still rep some good developers and even bx makes some decent stuff. I am weary of their silly marketing games.

I never have to wait for PA's prices to go down. I pay $99 + local taxes a year (early adopter) for their 'L' subscription, which gives me access to 165 plugins and a coupon to buy any three of them every year, no restrictions. That's the game they are playing.

And if we talk about this specific plugin, I'm not paying $149 for a clipper, I'm paying $0.6 a year for it.

I can get it for 99 (and even less with a voucher) and I still don't want it or need it.

Me too. But I understand it... this is a way for PA to fill out their catalogue. For many its redundant. For some in the future it may be a viable option.

Don't get me wrong... It makes sense to have one in your catalog, but I just find it hilarious that they are trying to screw 149 out of people. Clippers are on the cheaper side too!

Don't get me wrong... It makes sense to have one in your catalog, but I just find it hilarious that they are trying to screw 149 out of people. Clippers are on the cheaper side too!

And bx_clipper looks pretty basic. Also it takes the UI approach of replicating for each channel which is a waste of space and can be confusing. Not ideal. But yes the price is pretty funny. At least they are being consistent.

Mind you it will be 30 bucks in about 6 months as well.
