Nope. The Incident never happened, and none of the witnesses can corroborate it.

Why is fixing ARA Apple’s problem?
Not enough time or talent. https://soundcloud.com/user-346125978?r ... rd&p=i&c=0 or https://soundcloud.com/richard-crane-64 ... rd&p=i&c=1

it really doesnt matter whos problem it is to fix when both celemony and antares say they are already working with apple on a solution. I personally don't think this solution will be there until we get the next big big update. but apples security on the m series chip + making logic pro sandboxed with plugins broke how ARA works. I'm not technical and this is a game of telephone so dont take this verbatim but basically because the plugins are sandboxed they run separate of logic so theres a security issue with it. I'm sure they could fix ARA very easily but make macs vulnerable in the process. I also don't use logic pro anymore so
also if you click track in auto tune or transfer in celemony melodyne then freeze your tracks in logic pro, then press play, its near full ARA implementation just a lot slower of a process then in a daw with ara.

When running Apple Silicon, Audiounits are sandboxed.
In short, there is no ARA in native apple silicon logic. It hasn't been ported/implemented/whatever.
Celemony can't do anything because there's no framework for it in Logic

That actually makes sense. AU on Apple Silicon actually runs using a system level service (that's what other apps like Ableton, S1 etc can support native AU without have to implement it directly themselves). The way ARA works that it give direct access to the memory of the DAW for audio so it doesn't have to cache the data. I'm not sure if there will be a fix for that anytime soon.Ploki wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 5:09 pmWhen running Apple Silicon, Audiounits are sandboxed.
