PLASMONIC - A new synth from Brian Clevinger

Yeah I just searched online.. The Imagine manual explicitly mentions AAS, the Noisy one doesn't though, the Noisy Manual also doesn't have a Thank you section that the Imagine manual does.
And they have no about page where they mention who the programmers are.
I do recall that Noisy came out around the same time as Plasmonic, and initially I went for Noisy. I think that discussion is somewhere on the earlier pages of this thread.
Btw though I haven't actually gotten a chance to play with one, but from all the videos and audio I have heard, another very digital sound generating synth that sounds really great to my ear is Nonlinear Labs's C-15.
I am not saying that Plasmonic doesn't have its uses, and everyone has a right to have different views of what appeals to their ear's aesthetics. Just I haven't found that use for my projects yet anyway and...(I have already stated how my ear's aesthetics has judged it)

Unfortunately, no virtual C-15
From my side, I love Plasmonic and all it allows you, in general and particularly in termes of modulations, MPE etc But hey, that’s me
I’d have many things to say about « analog vs digital » sounding, but may be another day

So its been on my "one day i'll get it list" for a while.
Now its on sale again and i am ready to purchase it and i see this: "There is no support for offline activation."
Was it always like this or did i just miss it before ?? Wouldn't have even thought of buying it had i known before..

There’s pretty much no digital sound that doesn’t warm up nicely with a bit of good tape saturation. I currently love Strymon’s Deco, but I haven’t picked it up yet. Seems to make everything sound good.zvenx wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 4:28 pm Ooh that isn't how I interpreted personal at all. I just meant your taste.
Firstly I have GAS, so I buy a lot of stuff, including Plasmonic, and end up not using many of them. But have them just in case a particular project comes along that they would be perfect in.
Secondly to Physical modeling, Expressive E has a product called Imagine, not sure if you are familiar with it, it is primarily (but may not be solely) based on physical modeling. To my ears it doesn't sound as cold and digital as plasmonic to me, therefore to me it sounds much better than Plasmonic, it is just sadly buggy and a cpu hog so I never use it either, but primarily for those reasons.

However I have abandoned the Absynth 6 dream!
Looking for a new dream.
The elusive Clevinger Sample Mangler.

I was hoping for the Sample Mangler plugin but I know he will develop a great multi-fx.
Hope this happens soon.
