CH and Ride.
Pretty similar to what I notice with the OH in my last post. With a high cut at around 12k it sounds very similar to Drumazon 1. The advantage is that you can have more highs when you want of course! I think Drumazon 2 could have also a slight variation per hit?
The clap is not my taste in Drumazon 2 like in Drumazon 1. I prefer the samples I have that have more body and less "click".
I might still prefer samples for the OH too. The attack envelope of the OH is different in Drumazon 1/2 (slower or different shape?) compared to my unprocessed 909 samples.
As with Drumazon 1: For pure "unprocessed" 909 sound I'm still not fully convinced compared to my 909 samples. I have no idea if the differences are in the area of devices differences or if it's "the difference" to an actuall hardware unit.
Still, I can fully recommend to update to Drumazon 2. The new interface alone is easily worth the price. For heavy processed 909 sounds it doesn't matter and the heavily processed presets sound amazing and modern for 909 techno. It's fun to use the plugin.

I'm torn on this one. The new interface and sizes make Drumazon comfortable to use again and the upgrade price is very fair.
But to be honest I'm not that big of a fan of the 909 in general. I'm much more of an 808 fan so an update of Nepheton will almost certainly be an insta-buy.
So with nearly zero dollars in my plugin budget this month I'll probably pass for now.
Oh and don't forget Drumazon can send MIDI out to other plugins so if you like the sequencer you can use it to drive other drum plugins or layer them with the onboard sounds.

According to the manual and to my quick trial - yes that's the case.Vortifex wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 12:40 pm so if you put an instrument on slot 3, it'll be processed by slots 3, 4 and 5 but not 1 and 2?

I started off using this on my 2014 macbook pro at 64 sample size buffer and never had cpu issues.
My 2014 studio cat built pc same thing.
My 'new' 2021 macbook pro now doesn't even blink.
All cubendo using the vst3.

I own ADM as well. D16 is better in all fields. But I suggest you trial both products and decide by yourself.simmo75 wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 4:25 pm I think I’m going to celebrate 909 day with a purchase.
Anyone own this and Audiorealism ADM, which is better?
Thanks

I take it you are on one of the affected daws?
I tried the repro on the best daw ever, cubendo of course (yes that was meant as a joke) and it didn't crash.

Hmm, I have the default preset loaded. Turned all Fx slots on (incl. the master FX), only the level knobs set to zero for all sounds, sequencer with notes running and am sending MIDI out to Nepheton. 4% CPU usage in Reaper, comparable when I check the taskmanager in Windows 11. Am using a i5 9600k.

I bought it and I like the sounds. The only thing that I'm not liking is that I can't figure out how to play the sequence in the plugin without starting play of the transport in my DAW. Other drum plugins that I have let you play the sequence without having to press play in the DAW. I haven't found a way to just play the sequence within the plugin. Does anyone know if that's possible? I don't see a play or stop button any where in Drumazon 2. Thanks.
