its a gdm relief with this release, thx for that dear d16 crew.
a modern near perfect 909 now. near perfect for one reason only: a flexible tracklength for all instruments separately! would be da bomb.
just put a decimort behind it and some special vst sauce and the sound is massive

Every 909 sounds different. A cool thing about the Roland plugin is you can adjust the gain/saturation of each drum separately, which goes a long way towards emulating those differences. I don’t know if Drumazon 2 offers something like that.midi_transmission wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 3:32 pm As with Drumazon 1: For pure "unprocessed" 909 sound I'm still not fully convinced compared to my 909 samples. I have no idea if the differences are in the area of devices differences or if it's "the difference" to an actuall hardware unit.
With that said, the demo videos sound like a proper 909 to me.

Another potential bug: the meter doesn't appear to be properly calibrated or just isn't fast enough. I can have a pattern going that's regularly peaking above 0dbfs and the red "clip" LED in the output section of the plugin never goes off.
Expected result: any peaks above 0dbfs should trigger the clipping indicator on the GUI.

I'm not sure if there is anything 909 specific integrated. To me it looks like a normal (good) sequencer with swing. You have a swing value and not fixed swing modes like on the 909.stash98 wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 6:02 pm How is the sequencer? Is the swing like the og machine? That makes it super valuable to me if you can send the swing with the midi out. Can someone test that out?

Host mode. It would be cool when we had a way to jump between patterns but keep the play position. A "legato" option. Currently the pattern starts from 0.0 when you switch. This way you could mix variation of a pattern in real time.

Hmm that would be a shame. The 909 shuffle is legendary. You have it already or just guessing?midi_transmission wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 9:08 pmI'm not sure if there is anything 909 specific integrated. I can't say that an exact sequencer emulation is not something I fancy. At the same time it's not a big deal. Right decay time and accent are at least as important in my opinion. And even the swing on the 909 depends a bit on the used sync. And don't forget you have swing in the Drumazon sequencer or can use the daw sequencer with 909 groove templates that trigger Drumazon.stash98 wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 9:15 pmHmm that would be a shame. The question is which sound are you after? Some presets demonstrates that it's able to create top notch grooves with the processing. I think it's very strong for processed techno 909s. For puristic 909 usage I still prefer samples, but your mileage may vary.

Well I use Bitwig which doesn't have the deepest swing options. So I like that I can use the Drumazon's swing as an alt. I just got it and I love the sound design options. For house music it's fantastic as well. I have had it for about an hour so far.midi_transmission wrote: Sun Sep 10, 2023 1:02 amI can't say that an exact sequencer emulation is not something I fancy. I definitely like to process my 909s so this plugin is a dream since the presets on the individual drums are really good starting points, plus the master bus effects are also great. This is actually pretty deep with its processing, so I am just using the presets and tweaking them for now so I can learn everything.
What I want to do is sample drum hits and put them into the RX1200 sampler. In a perfect world I'd sequence the RX1200 from the Drumazon sequence so I can swing it and sequence in there. I am pretty sure I can do it, I just need to figure it out.

Maybe i am missing something.
Why not sequence in Drumazon, drag that midi sequence to rhe Daw, and then send thst midi to the rx1200?

There's another tiny workflow issue (nothing major IMO). When you turn off the internal sequencer by pressing the INT SEQ button, you can not assign any of the outputs from the OPTIONS menu.
When the internal Sequencer is turned off and when you go to OPTIONS - Audio Outputs Setup you can open settings but the window is cut out and you can not press OK to confirm your output setup.
