Tracking Apple Silicon Native Hosts, Plugins, Effects

Here is a list of vendors who have publicly promised to update and have not yet, or have made progress updating part of but not all of their catalog. I thus rebrand my unPC Wall of Shame designation to the more woke ...

Wall of Laggards

• Audio Assault: Headcrusher, Multi Transient ... perhaps others - no clue about their plans.
• Boz Digital Labs: MANY, still terrible communication but slowly advancing.
• D16 Group: Drumazon, Nepheton, Nithonat, Sigmund - Drumazon 2 dropping perhaps tomorrow.
• Faded Instruments: ALL, dev has publicly (Facebook) stated M1 is intended.
• HoRNet: SOME still.
• Nomad Factory: MOST, but signs of life with recent M1 beta of Pulse-Tec EQs.
• NUGEN Audio: Seq-S(T) only remaining one (I am aware of) to not go native.
• Psychic Modulation: Phonec, PulseCode, Vectomelt (VM2 update being teased on website).
• U-he: Filterscape, Uhbik - both nearing native releases.
• W.A. Production: Long List, and I don't think they have any intention of porting their back catalog!

NOTE: These are the ones I am tracking and I am excluding apparent abandonware (e.g. 2getheraudio, TSE), and a variety of one-offs by devs who have otherwise ported their entire catalog.

Also Cytomic The Drop & The Scream

TC Electronic also still not native and no word on a timeline. they've been very quiet for a more than a year.

I am in beta testing. All TC plugins are ready. It will be released very soon

well that's awesome news... and i wish they'd communicate that more broadly but everyone operates differently with these kinds of things so i get it.

TC plugins works perfectly on all known daws i tested( Nuendo, Logic, Studio One, Protools, Luna, Ableton) .. its coming soon

Also . Lexicon PCM plugins are coming too .. but next year

Lexicon plugins may yet become viable if all of the above happens.

Hi, we have now 50 out of 68 plugins in our catalogue that have native Apple Silicon support.

We have now a person dedicated to porting to Apple Silicon our older stuff. We will release all our catalogue, including our free plugins, as native in the next couple of months reasonably.

That's pretty much impossible. It's not like there's some master registry of all audio software that we could use to find all developers with software this is not or will not be updated.

That's true... may be a list of plugins that we know for sure will not get updated.

I opened a ticket to ask the status, they replied: "While I don't have a specific ETA at this moment, I want to assure you that our development team is diligently working on updates to provide compatibility with newer OS's and M1 processors. We understand the importance of this feature and ​the team is committed to delivering an update as soon as possible.

if these go apple silicon native and they do a black friday sale i'll be very pleased to add to the TC2290 which is so far only one i've bought.
