What can Serum do that Vital can't (and vice versa)

I prefer serum to vital although if comparing features vital probably wins. I am no expert but to me serum sounds better especially when creating techno style basses.

I own vital, serum, massive x and pigments and personally use serum the most followed by pigments, vital and then massive x (although massive x sounds good I just do not like the workflow).

We know Serum2 is being worked on and although you cannot guarantee it will ever be released, if it is you would get it free as a serum owner.

I think, what´s completely overlooked here for sound design is that (to my knowledge) Serum is the only synth that is able to modulate/automate every single point of their already very flexible LFO´s/MSEG´s...

This alone makes a huge huge difference between them...

Secondly is Serum a very well supported product while Vital seems to be now more on the abandon or at least hobby side of products...

Serum 2 will probably see the light one day and I am pretty sure that Steve (together with Dave) will have raised the bar for the competitors quite drastically...

For me atm Vital is a bit ahead in terms of modulation fine tuning, a third Osc (I am fine with the filters how they are atm in Serum... I don´t need more) and perhaps some other smaller goodies but I still like Serum with it´s very streamlined GUI and very interesting tricks beyond it´s sleeves the better overall and more interesting product and it´s future is for me more than bright... I cannot tell the same about Vital!

Serum.
looking through their forums on the developer's sites that they both need some updating for current MacOS.. couldn't find info about apple silicon native support for Serum. the demo is intel only. none of that stuff is an issue for Windows users of course.

also, appears Matt of Vital is missing in action or something.. hasn't chimed in on the forum there in several months.
