They have and do communicate on this forum, and have done so earlier this year. Whats your problem?zeph wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 2:45 pm I can speak my mind that the developer does not communicate on this forum like a lot of other developers. And I'm not arguing with anyone.

I'm so sorry about that.egbert101 wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 3:12 pm His problem is obvious, he's not getting any replies from the developer.
Not sure what we can do about it though.

I have been trying to get any response from PARAWAVE on this forum numerous times.
PARAWAVE have not responded.
would it be possible to share the contents of your email?![]()
I can speak my mind that the developer does not communicate on this forum like a lot of other developers. And I'm not arguing with anyone.

I have send an email over a month ago and still not answered. So kinda random.HcDoom wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 9:41 amI sent them an email via their website and they have responded, so, please stop this nonsense and stop spreading negative info around. PARAWAVE have not responded.
Also the website randomly looks like an abandoned site, as shown in the attachment.
The last feature update was 3 years ago. A new version was announced to be out last year, got postponed and in a removed post on KVR they posted that it would be Januari. Too bad I did not screenshot it, but that post in combination with the VST3 update made me buy it.
It's all the little things added up that makes people wonder how alive this product is. And if it were to be a lousy synth, no one would care. But apparently people do seem to care and just fear that such a promising product might vanish.
I really love the layout of the synth, it sounds great and works fine. But I am really excited for the new MSEG editor. I dislike the fact that we have a visual envelope but that it can not be edited directly. You must use the dials. Too be honest, that's the only actual feature I'm "missing".
It's cool that Mirka Ruta is doing a lot of awesome sounds for Avenger, and that his reverb is licensed to Vengeance for Avenger 2.0. But I wish he would be able to spend more time on RAPID, as in my opinion this synth has more potential. The UI is way more streamlined, the FX are superb and usable as plugin, preset management is cleaner, the layering is more clear and the reverb alone is worth the price of admission (on sale is when I got it).
So in my opinion it is not about the bashing of the dev, quite the opposite.

The website is working fine and personally for me, it always has without problems. Server issues do happen though.

Rapid was on sale with 50% off from Nov 22nd last year and there was an update in I think December of that year as well.

The website is working, but a lot of times when I visit it, part or none of the images are loading. Quite frequently even. I know that if I refresh it, they pop up. But for people with doubts about the product, this is an added 'red flag'. It's not happening only for me as I have seen multiple people reporting this issue on forums. Not the end of the world, but it isn't helping the perception of the product and company either.THE INTRANCER wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 7:32 pm The website is working fine and personally for me, it always has without problems. Maybe the main reason why there is so much buzz around RAPID (me including) is due the presented road map. It generates expectation. They basically told us what to expect in the next update, and then it got delayed and went silent.
The time between the previous two feature updates was roughly half a year each. The time since the last feature update... nearly 3 years. So to some people this may feel as 2.5 years delayed.

So MSEG modulators are coming in the next update? I don't see it on the roadmap.eagle007 wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 5:03 pm I really love the layout of the synth, it sounds great and works fine. This is from November 19 of Last year:
Look I get it, some people just blindly defend any developer but it is in the developer's best interest to communicate with their customers so potential customers can feel confident that the company will be responsive to to any issues they may have and are open to user feedback on features and functions.
Forums like KVR are great tools for both users and developers but if developers are going to run off like spoiled children every time someone says anything remotely irritating to them then they are doing themselves no good.
Again I don't want or need an update for Rapid. However I'm far more likely to reach for Avenger than Rapid these days because Avenger is still in active development and at least there is some communication from the developers here.
If I didn't own either I would be far less inclined to check out and purchase Rapid due to the ongoing lack of engagement with the user base.
So to sum it up developers are just shooting themselves in the foot when they alienate the members of any forum dedicated to the subject of their products.
There are developers who have been here at KVR since pretty much day one and they haven't run off. Probably because they don't give users a lot of reasons to complain or if they do receive complaints they're mature enough to handle them like adults.
So for at least that long Parawave has been aware that their lack of communication is not reflecting well on their company or their product. People are still talking about the lack of communication going on a year later and once again responses are hit and miss at best.Teksonik wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 2:24 pmI've been seeing this comment a lot, not just here but on other forums and social media as well such as this from their Facebook group:
So a few days ago I sent Parawave an inquiry through support and asked if there was anything I could pass along to help calm the fears of some users. You know something like "we're still working on Rapid, the future is bright" etc....
Instead, in their first response all I got was a meme with no other text:
A subsequent response was just as snarky and ended with "you'll eventually get your update" (I don't need or want an update I would just like to know if the company is still supporting their product in case any stability issues should pop up). They did say that support for Rapid is continuing but their quite frankly surprising remarks have kind of put me off this company.
