"Hello everyone,

I'm looking for video editing software that allows me to edit .mp4 videos and add music in .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo format. Additionally, I want to preserve the audio signal in .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo format during the mixdown of both tracks (audio + video). Does anyone know of such software, and what format should the video be in to maintain the audio in .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo? and IF wich player would play this Video ?

If this isn't achievable, is there a solution to play an audio signal in .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo and an MP4 video in sync, so that the video is displayed via HDMI while the audio signal in .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo is played through an external sound card?

I understand that programs like Videopad Editor allow you to import the .mp4 video and the .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo audio separately and play them without mixdown. However, I'm concerned that this method might display the entire desktop on the screen instead of just the individual video. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
or 2 laptops one for Video HDMI and one for audio and press start syncron :))))))
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!"

.mp4 usually contains lossy compressed audio.
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP4_file_format
Also MPEG-4 Part 3 audio objects, such as Audio Lossless Coding (ALS), Scalable Lossless Coding (SLS), MP3, MPEG-1 Audio Layer II (MP2), MPEG-1 Audio Layer I (MP1), CELP, HVXC (speech), TwinVQ, Text To Speech Interface (TTSI) and Structured Audio Orchestra Language (SAOL)
Other compression formats are less used: Apple Lossless, Free Lossless Audio Codec (added in late 2018), and Opus (added in late 2018)
So you're looking for a video editor that supports something like Audio Lossless Coding (ALS).

Question though is whether it's worth the trouble. AAC encoding with bitrates of 64kbps per channel and higher are good enough to be labelled HiFi already. Note that AAC @ 128kbps has a far higher quality than MP3 at the same bitrate.

Thank you very much for your answer, you are of course right , .mp4 usually contains lossy compressed audio ! OF COURSE
it looks like there is no absolute Audio Lossless Coding (ALS) system . or not really worth the effort, what is the best tool for highest Audio Lossless Coding (ALS) ?
Does anyone see a way to start an audio player and a video player syncron on a laptop ?

Or is there a Programm like i said Videopad Editor allow you to import the .mp4 video and the .wav 48kHz/32Bit Stereo audio separately and play them without mixdown and show the video out HDMI (just the Video and NOT THE COMPLETE DESKTOP WINDOW) on a Projektor and the audio out through a soundcard in one Programm !??

The video quality isn't that important to me because MP4 is rich enough for now could also be another fromat like AVI or MOV , but the audio quality shouldn't be changed !!!!

ok i guess i gonna work with 2 player !
