Yeah, when I first tried out the Wider plugin, I was pretty impressed by it, but...

This is for example one of the worst... and I don´t like it´s sound... it´s just phasey and cheap sounding besides that it destroys even every little rest of mono compatibility...
I will never understand the hype about it...

Mm...well, if you consider, like, heavy rock/metal, it can be quite effective in adding that vocal sound that cuts through without necessarily distorting in a traditional sense, but still perfectly fitting the context of the music.

How's it compare with StageOne?

I actually quite like the stereo widening on Waves Abbey Road Mastering plugin, I wonder how it compares to that as well.

Waves is just an ordinary Side signal "pusher". Works only with the stereo signal. Ozone (or Melda) can work with mono signal. In this case it creates the side information beforehand.
