Important if I remember right are the "Group assignments"... set all what shall come out of one Group to the same in the routing...

To make them visible then I believe to remember that you have to use the "Underlay" colors on the SPAN main GUI for that...

1st colour is group 2, 2nd colour is group 3..etc...

Are you working with mono??
If not you have to use mono pairs to create stereo...

If your files are mono than your routing is correct so far but you need to choose the first colour from the "Underlay" menu to make "Insert 2" visible...

I work since quite some time now just with SPAN Plus... no need for routings anymore and everything is much more felxible/easier to use especially in FLS...
This is an investment you definetely should consider!

If you don't have a budget I believe fabfilber pro q does what youre looking for aswell (not a span expert)

hi trancit i got Span Plus now, seems the routing is still cumbersome?

i found this video and it shows this method at 3:36 min
still a lot of clicking

it seems this plugin is automatically routed (i dunno if in fl studio too)

i dunno if this is possible in span plus too but i might check out this

This is how I use it:

- I put a Span Plus instance on every channel/Bus I want to be displayed...
- I set every instance to it´s own "Export" number, it´s own color and display mode (my own user one, Default or High Res)...
- I use one SPAN instance which is detached and minimized dragged to an empty space on the top of FL Studio (toghether with others)... this way I just need to "un-minimize" it and have it always at hand when needed
i.e.
Minimized.jpg
.
- I saved this as a template but it´s not necessary...
- With the "Import" menu I choose what I want to see...

I don´t do anything with routing and I want to have i.e. Kick and Bass in High Res mode while others not...
This is the reason I chose Span Plus over the free Span ...
- no routing necessary
- individual instances can export their measurement in different resolution modes to the displaying instance
- VST3 version full working while in FLS you have to use VST2 for the routing

I find this way of working very convinient and without much clicking...
