By importing Video Edit Decision Lists (EDLs), and Scripts or Continuities, the Sound Editors’ past edits are assembled into a new episode or film reel.**Key Features of BG Builder (BGB):**
1. **Effortless Database Creation:** BGB automatically generates a database file whenever an EDL and Script or Continuity is imported. This database is structured based on the hour information present in the filenames. These databases can serve as replacements for the original EDL and Script or Continuity files and can be conveniently retargeted to specific hours within your super session.
2. **Comprehensive Compatibility:** BGB has undergone rigorous testing with various source inputs. Recognizing that sound editors may receive EDLs and Scripts or Continuities that are new to us, we will rapidly integrate new sources into our datasets and update the application.
3. **Platform Support:** BGB is currently compatible with Mac OS ARM (M1 / M2), and support for Intel Macs is in development. Based on customer feedback we are actively considering support for Windows x86. For users outside the Pro Tools ecosystem, a conform.edl file is automatically generated and can be used with your preferred DAW and assembly software.
