Anyone tried SuperGemini yet?

I'd heard of it but for some reason only just got around to watching any vids etc. It sure looks better-featured with the ring/sync etc, whereas the Supersix left me a bit cold - looked to me a bit underfeatured for the price. The binaural bit doesn't interest me at all, but some decent sounds coming out of it in that vid. BUT...I'm going to have to hear plenty more to make my mind up. Not sure what it is, but the sound is somehow not there for me. It's smooth, it can obvs sound quite powerful...it's not plasticy, dunno how to describe it but somehow sounds ever-so-slightly wrong. I don't think it's the FPGA oscillators - Summit/Peak use those and I really quite like them. The ring/sync stuff sounds appropriately quirky and non-uniform enough to give it good character. Looping envelopes - bonus points for that. Maybe it's the filter that doesn't tickle my ears, not sure. I think for the price, Summit, Prologue etc offer an awful lot more, but maybe I just need to hear the fancy stuff it can do yet.
Anyone had experience with them yet? Opinions?

It's not out yet, and most likely won't be till next year
Udo issues are firmware, where even the Supersix is still somewhat incomplete, let alone the Super Gemini.
And I hope the sliders are not as stiff as the Supersix ones are!
They actually feel weird, like super stiff in the centre of the range, and then start to mover faster at the top and bottom
I found the filters on that to be boring and not particularly analog sounding.
Seems sterile and lacking bass

What's missing from the Super 6 firmware?CoolColJ wrote: Fri Sep 22, 2023 2:47 pm It's not out yet, and most likely won't be till next year

Is it missing things they stated it would have at release, or things users/you want, or expect?

Dude, the filter used in the UDO synths is the SAME filter used for the PPG Wave 2.2/3 and KORG Polysix. It's self-oscillation creates nice and dissonant bell tones!
