Hi everyone!
I have a question for Keylab MKII users... I've searched everywhere, but I can't seem to find any photos/videos regarding the magnetic DAW-specific overlays. I know there are different functions for each DAW (hence the overlays) but if anyone has posted photos of them or a video that shows each one, I haven't been able to find it. Would anyone mind posting photos here? I'm interested in Studio One specifically, but if you could post photos of each you'd be doing curious KVRers a service.
Also, even if you can't post photos, how do you like your Keylab MKII?

Anybody want to share their thoughts on the Keylab MKII?

I don't have one but if I had to buy a new "standard" midi controller, that's the one I would go for on any size (49, 61, 88 keys).
They're quite highly regarded (the MKII range, not the "Essential" versions).
I have no pictures but the manual tells you the controls for each overlay. Chapter 4.9

I tried an 88 key one when I was on the market for an 88 key board - and I felt the keybed was overly noisy. When playing at high velocity, it almost overshadowed the patch being played. I couldn't live with that so I looked elsewere. Surprisingly, I ended up with a Korg Kronos which was a wee bit more expensive.

I have a Keylab MKII 61 and I really like it. The key bed feels good and the functionality is great, especially with Live and Bitwig.
I use it also with Studio one but I don't use the overlay. The commands on the overlay are almost identical to the printed functions on the board so I didn't care.

I bought a Keylab Essential 88 for the spouse when she started having CT issues. Bought a Studiologic Studio 88 before that, but she felt it was still too heavy. And she pretty much dislikes synth/organ action as well.
The Keylab is her "Goldilocks" keyboard. And I have to say for myself that it's actually good. The action feels right enough, and if I had to say a negative, it would be the shorter key length. But I got use to quickly. (And I got the Studio 88 sitting on top of my VMK-188+ now.) For form, feature and price, I don't know what equals it.

I was researching controllers and thought I might like the keylab mkii and then I saw this vid @ 3min 38sec. It has thrown me off because the keys appear so flimsy. I checked my other controllers for similar movements and couldn't even come close.Hewitt Huntwork wrote: Wed Dec 02, 2020 10:49 pm Anybody want to share their thoughts on the Keylab MKII?

Here are some photos of the magnetic overlays you were asking about…they are for the black version, but you could probably inverse them to get it, so it would work on the white version…I posted them to my Instagram account:
