On Saturday September 23rd, we'll be celebrating the one year anniversary of our monthly LA Synth Club meetup at Common Space in Hawthorne, CA.

I'll be playing a set, a number of companies will be demonstrating their products and there will be a raffle! If you'll be in Southern California, we'd love to see you there.

I'll be the opening act, my set starts at 3:20pm.

I made it to the Anniversary Party but missed Justin's set! Sorry Justin! If anyone in Southern California is reading this, it was a great event and there were a bunch of different synths to play around with. I spent 30 minutes on the Moog Grandmother and suddenly realized I'd been grinning ear to ear the entire time.

Thanks Eric! It was great to see you at least. I had a great time. Here’s video of my set, if anyone is interested.

I sure as hell am, and I'd have flown out had I known in all seriousness
I'm especially pleased at the idea of passers-by being able to hear that coming from inside that place

It was bustling! The main bar area had their own sound system, though, and there wasn't much signage guiding people to the back. I didn't see any passer-by's back there.

Pyramids on Mars. Or the discovery of African culture found on another planet, that's what it sounds like to me. You should do soundtrack work if you haven't done so already.
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

Nice set Justin! My favorite is after the 6-minute mark when the bass settles in and the pads counter nicely. Apparently the bird also really liked it.

Ha! As Eric said, the brewery is big enough that you can't even hear the synth cacophony from the other end of the building let alone the outside. It's in an industrial area too, all the clattery probably just blends in, lol. I did perform at a skate shop earlier in the year and that was in closer proximity to unsullied ears.

It'd be awesome to finally see you in meat space. I don't have another show lined up this year but maybe around NAMM time in January.

Thanks for checking out the video everyone! I have videos of the other performances as well but I'm waiting for permission to post them.
