Reminded me of one of the local art museums here in the Miami area a couple years back had a really great night of experimental music inside the museum, they had it set up where it almost reminded me of Later With Jools Holland, all of the performers were set up around the whole museum floor, and one would play several things, then it would rotate to the next, etc. The artists/performers were all on hand to see each others performances while waiting for their turn. It was really a cool night and went great. Had everything from modular stuff to noise to ambient to really strange electronic stuff to even a black metal duo. Plus what was great was the camaraderie between the performers, many who never met.

On Mondays it's usually a free-for-all from 6pm-8pm and people bring all sorts of stuff to show and tell. After 8pm, there is usually a performance or a demonstration of some kind. On Saturday, we kinda setup between two tables in a round robin and since people who performing were also demonstrating their rigs, everyone sticks around for everyone else's performance and we chat about technique and stuff. There is a great community vibe and all sorts of synth nerds are welcome. Some folks bring laptops or little embedded chips on bread boards, vintage synths or something they just picked up... there's no gatekeeping or cliques which is really nice. Even as a rep for a company, I still enjoy chatting with the reps from Novation and SOMA who were there. It's really nice!raiderpdog wrote: Sun Sep 24, 2023 9:34 pm Reminded me of one of the local art museums here in the Miami area a couple years back had a really great night of experimental music inside the museum, they had it set up where it almost reminded me of Later With Jools Holland, all of the performers were set up around the whole museum floor, and one would play several things, then it would rotate to the next, etc. The artists/performers were all on hand to see each others performances while waiting for their turn. Oh you big softy! You'll get a big sweaty hug from me when we eventually meet.
