But the textures mode works exactly like that. I tested it a few minutes ago. You can play multiple notes and they all play at the same speed with the pitch of the notes played.
Just the sound quality is terrible
Well it is granular.... If you choose the right grains, your sound will be good.
In my video the sound is not good because I am on microphone from my laptop speakers... Just couldn't figure out how to to differently .But the actual sound is actually good even for a voice.

Ok, just because it is fun I propose you a small blind test between my best time stretching VST: Falcon Sampler Timestretching by IRCAM lab in high quality mode vs Bitwig Sampler.
I start to play in C and then in A. The stereo is inverted, sorry about that but you can try to guess what is what...

I came to respond, but the answer has already been covered better than my understanding. @Anatolio, I'd like to ask you a question: how do you create your video attachments?? That is a really useful addition to these posts, I'd love to know how to do the same.

A# ?

Did you mean Bb ?

By the way with this method, you can create any stutter or way of reading your sample you want...
you are in total control..

Any ressemblance with something like this would be purely coincidental :-)

Raw is installed initially
Should work then. I just tried it here and with the loop I used, the audio clip on the track and the one in the sampler play at the same speed as expected.

This of course does not address your wish to have a mode where you can play different notes (pitches) but the length stays the same. The Bitwig sampler doesn't have that mode.
Yes, at least one problem has been solved - the sound and length of the files will match if the sample key is not specified in the Bitwig sampler. (watch the video). That is, there should be one note in the root of the Sampler and in the notes (in my case C3). In my examples above, I had A#2 in the root of the sampler (indicated in accordance with the tone of the sample), and the note C3 was playing, and therefore the final files were different. By the way, the same thing happened in other samplers, I also wrote that "the CR8 sampler picks up the key itself?"

But I remind you who haven't read the whole topic - the length of the file from the Bitwig sampler will be the same to the original sample until you play notes other than the base one.

Then the question about the Root key is when do I need to install it? If I play the sample in the sampler without changes (playing by notes), then the root definitely does not need to be touched. And if I play a sample by notes - then ? I'm already a little confused about this issue, correct me. I've always been used to setting the rootkey according to the tone of the sample. What am I doing wrong?

muzicxs wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 2:58 pm You can do precisely what you want if you change the mode to "Textures" as Jac459 mentioned...
Yes, I understand what you're talking about. I twisted the "textures".This will work for effects, but not for the exact layering of identical voice samples with different pitch - the layers will NOT MATCH in sound and duration. And adjusting to the exact duration is an extra job.

No no no, I understand by your answer that you are scratching the surface of the sampler. It is much much much (didn't I say much ?) more powerful that you think. The Bitwig sampler is actually a beast.

If you want a very very good timestrech by the sampler. And have EXACTLY the right speed in the sample.
It is very easy.
You need to use the atomic power of ... MODULATIONS.

STEP 1 : Open a modulation and choose for example ... segment.
STEP 2 : draw a straight line starting from 0 and going to 1 at the end.
STEP 3 : link this modulator to the Play offset so that the modulator is offsetting 100% at max.
STEP 4 : Click the little freeze icon.
STEP 5: Be happy
The sampler will read your sampler EXACTLY at the speed you want and EXACTLY with the pitch you want. You can set in the modulator at which speed your sample will be read (can be in seconds or in fraction of your tempo).
You can also totally change the speed during the playback by changing the straight line to be actually a curve.

So the conclusion is : the sampler is a freaking powerhouse and you DON'T need to buy another sampler.
You just have to play around with the modulators... (it is actually much much easier than you think).
Your video does not show the process of setting the modulation settings. I followed your steps, I get a looped sound in one "offset" position. I tried various binding options for half an hour - nothing works.Tell me what I'm doing wrong on the video

The third sound sample sounds cleaner than its competitor. What kind of sampler is this ?

Using the LICEcap v1.32 program. She makes lightweight gifs. I recommend

Haha, sample 1, 2, 7, 8 are bitwig sampler with time stretching through grain.
Sample 3,4,5,6 are done through Falcon IRCAM high quality time stretching.

Thank you, now I understand that I need a Falcon. :hihi:

Please answer my question about the modulation settings of Segments (I wrote above). I'm looking forward to trying the stretching effects on the voice, but keeping the sample length. It's probably very simple there, but I'm a beginner and couldn't properly bind the modulator to the playoffset.

Well Falcon is awesome.... but so does bitwig hehe.
From the video you sent it seems almost all good.
But just to be sure on how to set the modulation let me detail even more.

After you have placed segment and draw your straight-line (as you did is correct).

Step 1 - make sure the POS is at 0%.
Step 2 - click the little arrow on the segment modulation (as you did).
Step 3 - make sure it is blinking.
Step4 - drag the POS to 100%.
Step 5 - click again the arrow.
Step 6 - make sure it isn't blinking anymore
Step 7 - make sure pos is now at 0%
Step 8 - enjoy.
