Anyone make MIDI over Ethernet?

I want to do the equivalent of "rewiring" multiple outputs from one VST host into the inputs of another DAW running on a separate PC, without buying a hardware MIDI interface for each PC. It seems like:
-Apulsoft does Audio over Ethernet
-FX-teleport does VST's over Ethernet
So, all that is needed to complete the picture is:
-MIDI over ethernet!
Do midiyoke /maple / sonic foundry have this capability? For that matter, is there any product out there that would allow MIDI data and MIDI clock to flow between two PC's without using dedicated hardware?
Thanks....

Midi over Lan works great, even cross-platform.
Been using it for a few months and so far so good.
YOu get 256 midi channels over one Lan cable ! Although I've only had the opportunity to try up to 48.
Recommended.

Thanks for the quick post - this product does what I was describing. However, I am looking for a PC (Win XP) based solution.

My MidiBag also contains VSTNETMID, an suite of plugins and applications that send MIDI data over network:

It is still experimental, but mayb eit works for you.

Jeez, how did I miss that? I had the MIDIBAG download when I was playing with Microtuner (another great idea but not supported by my hosts at this time).tobybear wrote:My MidiBag also contains VSTNETMID, an suite of plugins and applications that send MIDI data over network:
