alternative to EFEKTOR WHAMMO PITCH SHIFTER anyone?

I tried the demo out, EFEKTOR WHAMMO PITCH SHIFTER or the other one called Harmonitron, both seem to be ok but no way near any of the transpose features in neural DSP amp sim plugins., in fact the Neural DSP plugs dont take any cpu compared to Logic's stock Pitch shifter or Apples original plugs..
are there any other guitar pitch (drop tune) alternatives that dont require a neural dsp plug, Ik Multimedia or another huge multiple amp plugin hogging memory and resources?

Whammy hardware. Or an EHX Pitchfork pedal. I haven't found any plugin that does those sounds as well unfortunately.

I dont use any eco system (Ik Multimedia, Heliex Native, TH-U etc) I prefer my sims to sit in a channel strip with a chain like my pedal board..is there any single plug able to do it?

Your links point to exactly what iam trying to avoid, which are sims with a drop tune plugs and I already tried these and can confirm are fails, either latency or noise., especially IK Multi(plastic)media.

This is patently false.Britishboxer wrote: Wed Sep 27, 2023 7:33 pmin fact the Neural DSP plugs dont take any cpu compared to Logic's stock Pitch shifter or Apples original plugs..
I will just say - use what sounds best to you. Trials are available for almost anything. So what if it takes more RAM if it's the sound that you want?

Bluecat’s Axiom is a full featured amp sim that can also host plugins. It also has one of the best pitch shifters I’ve heard in software.Britishboxer wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2023 3:32 pmI dont use any eco system (Ik Multimedia, Heliex Native, TH-U etc) I prefer my sims to sit in a channel strip with a chain like my pedal board..is there any single plug able to do it?

If I understand correctly, you want specifically polyphonic pitch shifting to detune a specific amount?
Not the first thing that comes to mind when I see that hardware, which has a particular sound I love but I didn't even realize there was a polyphonic-detecting stomp box, which is pretty cool. I being a non-guitar player.
But if you simply want to detune a specific amount, statically, for a song or a part that seems a lot easier to obtain than a 2-octave whammy pedal effect.
I think later I will play with Zynaptiq's PitchMap and see how that sounds on guitar. I imagine if you add distortion before the pitch shifter it'd be a hot mess, but in principal lots of things should be able to do this, albeit without giving that specific tone whammy pedals impart. Polyphonic pitch detection in real time isn't exactly something that's easy yet, but PitchMap is completely bonkers so I'll report back what I find.

if you read correctly I said im not asking about a amp sim and effects that come with it, im asking about a individual plugin I can load on multiple platforms before any sim lol. I do the same thing some times, us guitar players over look details allot.zerocrossing wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 2:12 pmBluecat’s Axiom is a full featured amp sim that can also host plugins. I tried that too, all I want is a simple drop tune, -1 Eb and or -2 D, thats all im saying, nothing complicated..I read people buying the Neural DSP Mesa Boogie, Rabbea or John Patrucci just for the pitch transpose feature on the face of the sim GUI or Gojira whammy just to drop tune half step., they are all accurate, tight and all., I dont think its worth anyone's time to bother with paying $100s for a amp sim that has a whammy or pitch and paying just for a drop tune feature..runagate wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 3:31 pm If I understand correctly, you want specifically polyphonic pitch shifting to detune a specific amount?

I must mention that the little alterbooy and other stuff for pitch, example WAVES etc etc are for vocals, they cant articulate guitars tuned low with out breaking up during tremolo and bomb dives.
So the closest I got so far with a drop tune pedal sim is logic's free wham pedal
, for some reason, maybe im paranoid, but I think I loose something, maybe a tad of frequencies..then again I have been comparing these plugs for days..
The Kuassa whamo pedal

adds a Soundtoys kind of analogue vibe, sort of like the chorus brigade drive, which is great if your into Dimebag's original pedal from the 90s., but I could not get it to be completely clean.
I tried tons of other pitch option, one of my fav which I may use on the tracks after recording is the QuikQuak Pitchwheel
,This thing sounds so good, I think it sounds a tad better in harmonics and character then the Kuassa Whamo and or different, kind like adding a Soundtoys decapitator..only problem is I cant record with it in real time, it uses so much ram, has so much latency that it forces Logic on a Mac to mute almost 10 plugins when low latency mode is engaged,
The best I found so far to record play live with drop tune has been Logic's free Wham pedal plug (even on vocals) then the Kuassa., everything else is better for vocals or a twist on a bus.
And the only one I can use in bluecoat's patchwork is the Kuassa., I can use the QuickQuack with no latency but....it's a pig with memory., in time I get spikes depending if I use it to gig with a MacBook on battery.

I understood what you wanted. I suggested Axiom II because it would give you a good pitch shifter, (the intelligent harmonizer is one of the best I've ever used) and allow you to string together any other plugins you want so they could be saved as a single preset. You could ignore it's amp sim and other effects, though I think that would be a mistake, as they're good. Especially the Late Replies delay module, which also allows you to host plugins and effects inside the feedback loops of the taps.Britishboxer wrote: Tue Oct 03, 2023 6:21 pmif you read correctly I said im not asking about a amp sim and effects that come with it, im asking about a individual plugin I can load on multiple platforms before any sim lol.
