I used it to fill in the holes I was missing from my old Waves plugs since these were supposed to be 'the best'. 1176s, DBX 160, API 2500, and the Vision Channel, LA-3A, and added the 175/176. I've gone through some projects replacing plugins with them the last couple weeks and they were well worth the $14-40 I paid for them and then some.

Now they just need to drop the LA-2A set to $39! :hihi:

Does it have the UAD's Dual Mode? It's *really* good!
MJUC
I loved it for a while but the saturation wore on me and now I can't unhear it.

*If* you have a $25 Thank You Coupon from UAD.
You should receive one an hour or two after making a purchase at uaudio.com.

Guys, use code UADTUESDAY at UAD's website for $50 discount, if you don't have a $25 Thank You code, you will get one after the purchase. Code UADTUESDAY can be used twice, buy something for $47 and then your next purchase will cost you $22. Since they started their UAD Tuesdays sales I've got myself 4 plugins at these crazy prices, never thought a UAD plugin will cost so little.

Chorus - I can't say if one or the other is more authentic, but, yes, Audiority can do stereo, with width spread, input, output, oversampling or not, tempo sync or not, as well as 3 saturation modes. I'd always check Audiority before UAD for pedals.

MJUC mk1 with the needles barely moving if at all sounds, to me, as good or better than the UAD Fairchild and I already have it.

The UAD’s Dual Mode modulates both sides, instead of just one side like the original. This keeps the signals from canceling in mono.

Sure, I can see the MJUC sounding good that way. I push the Fairchild pretty hard. 2-3db on average. If it sounds too heavy-handed, I use the Vari-MU.

Audiority Chorus Ensembler has a stereo mode as well.

I own Chorus Ensembler, and when I had UAD Spark for 3 months, I compared the 2. They were pretty comparable but I liked Audiority a little more. One thing I like about it is it will do distortion, which sounds exactly like the distortion in the JC-120. I use in with a JC-120 model in TONEX.

I wish the Moog filter was out in native

Post

At this rate the entire UAD catalogue is likely to end up much the way waves has w/ all their plugins at rotating bargin bin prices. Which is good, the moog filter and the time cube are what I'm looking forward to. Hopefully they all end up native (and w/ sidechain on their compressors).

They will never get any cent more from me !!!
Payed some plugins several times in the past for their worse hardware....
Today again they want me to charge at least 30$ for each plugin.
Happy to say that our studio is completely UAD free today, no plugins and also no pedals.
Wish they went the same way as TC soon .....

From what I remember, on at least 2 modes of MJUC the needles are inaccurate. Barely moving needles may be 2-3 db :D

That explains a lot! I can only imagine what 2-3dB on the meter actually means in that case!

That's a bit strange for a product from the company that started with a metering plugin (if I remember correctly). :D
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)
