How many hundreds of hours did this guy put into making this product? How many more may be required? Maybe he doesn't have the time to port this, or doesn't have the ability to do so on anyone else's timetable and it'll get done when it gets done, or maybe porting it never gets done. Maybe the developer has more important things to do with his time. And that's ok. It was a free synth released as a labor of love. This wasn't a paid product from some big company that abandoned it. Martin is under no obligation to port this to Apple silicon or maintain it or open source it or sell it to Arturia. If it happens, be happy and appreciative. If he asks for donations or financial assistance to get it done, then consider donating.
But if he wants to leave it as is, that's his right. He made it. As a community of creators, we should be respectful of that and understand.

That's a very good comment and fair enough. I was just hoping he would respond with a "no" or a "yes, but"... and if there's anything that could get the ball rolling.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 1:33 pm How many hundreds of hours did this guy put into making this product? Not fully. Patch loading hasn't worked in years. I think that's why Martin discontinued the AU version.

This would be internally to the PG-8X .AU (?).jamcat wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 9:17 pmNot fully. Patch loading hasn't worked in years. I think that's why Martin discontinued the AU version.
However, my DAW is able to recall any patch that was edited in a project and saved within Cubase. I have the PG-8X AU working inside of Plogue's Bidule as a VST 3 Instrument within Cubase 12 on a M1 Macbook under Sonoma.
I just mention this because, although crippled, there is be a work-around (of sorts) for recalling saved presets (provided you put the work in to develop a library of your own making) within the DAW you work with.
On a number of Macs
