Don't beta testers normally have NDA's?
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Definitely worth watching if you're looking for a well featured DAW that is free and has a Pro version as well. Next is an absolute toy compared to Waveform Free.
It looks like a dumbed down version of Bitwig from that video.

It was like that at first. But now it seems they have already moved on to a public beta. Maybe they had too few testers and had to let more people in.

And now you can stop being a condescending and argumentativ pr*ck and try the public beta for Next yourself.
You know, beat versions, like many other people have tried.

Geez, you really aren't exactly the brightest light in the room, are you? :dog:

We had been talking about Sonar before, not Next, you utter genius - these are two completely different applications - even you will manage to comprehend this if you try hard enough, I'm sure of it.

So you beat the versions a lot, huh? (Some euphemism, I presume? :hihi:)

I had the chance to finally try the Next Beta and overall it's very stable lightweight and usable. Sounds are ok, and I think one can do a lot. The only thing missing is the ability to pitch shift and sidechain (for now).
I think this is really one of the best options for beginners and I'm thankful for that as an educator: I mean starting out with a daw can be a mess and I think the step from next to another daw is pretty simple. :)

Yeah, I'm so dumb that I knew there are beta versions of Sonar too.
Something you had no idea about. Or pretended to not know, just to be argumentative. Because even you can't be that ignorant.

Those are not the only things missing.

They even let me in just this week, no NDA.

At the moment this looks like an oversimplified version of Bitwig. I put a few grooves together fairly quickly so that's nice. The included sounds aren't bad and the XSampler is a fairly easy way to turn an audio clip into an instrument.

On the other hand, the application has just closed on me a few times without any error message. Mostly when I am doing things like undo insert track or closing a plugin window.

Even for a sketchpad, though, it still has a way to go.

I know. Mind-blowing.

Yup, it kinda defeats the goodwill they have accomplished during the free years. :?

I gave my opinion. If you disagree it's fine with me. I feel no need to discuss my opinion.
Maybe if it was very controversial, which it isn't.
