Well, it's cheap, but not really on par with Audiothing or Surreal Machines if you want "best" and "emulation".

It's the 301, not 501. My mistake.

Anyways, it sounds pretty good to me, but I've only seen demo videos of it.

It depends if you want to "be in the ball park" (what it does ok), or claiming to be "the best emulation" (what this thread is about)...

i just gave it a try, real lazy "emulation", if you can even call it that.
the "blend" parameter doesn't blend between the dry and wet signal at all, it's just a volume knob for the wet signal (wtf?!? must be a bug). so you can't get rid of the direct signal.
spring reverb sounds weak, and the reverb knob is a dry/wet mix knob, a real 501 lets the direct signal through if the direct signal switch is on.
it doesn't even self oscillate (probably because they couldnt get it to sound good).
they didn't even bother including the compander behavior which is a big part of its sound.
it's like they took some average delay plugin and threw a 501 graphic on it, what a disappointment.
hopefully audiority does it better.
