Anyone else have a problem with upgrading to 3.01? The installer says it can't open the file asiodxfd.dll.
I searched on the "Steinberg" forum, and found that some others have the problem too... but there's no "official" response. It seems the only workaround is making a fake asiodxfd.dll in wordpad. Pretty lame.

did you have sx 1(or 2) and 3 installed both at the same time and at some point removed sx 1(or 2) with automatic deinstallation ?
well , that's the only way i can imagine which could have deleted the content of the "asio" folder from the cubases (which is shared between both), and the reason why the update is complaining now .
anyway ... in this case a reinstallation of cubase sx3 and then updating will surely solve this problem .

I had SX1 and went to SX3; Only recently did I delete SX1. I don't think the asiodxfd.dll file is part of the SX3 installation. I reinstalled SX3, and the file still wasn't there.
So I then tried "Uninstall" from the Steinberg folder, and selected "Repair." The repair process even had issues with this file, but when I hit "Cancel" (since it didn't like "Continue"), the asiodxfd.dll then appeared in the SX3 directory.
So anyway, I got the update to then run.
