Yeah. Or intelligent ntelligent eq if that's your preferred nomenclature. Kinda like MixRoom or Ozone

What about the fast plugins by focusrite? Are they CPU hogs?

If I had to recommend one...hands down, Sonible Smart EQ for instruments and mixing. It gives you a great starting point for mixing-in-under-a-minute situations. Demo before you buy.

Yes the are very generous with the demo. The Ilok thing is maybe a deal breaker because I've managed to have no iLok installed on my new computer.

Good to know. I might just stick with the trust 'ol tilt eq and side chain compression. That seems to do the trick.

I haven't tried that. It looks good and I LOVE you can pay it out monthly for $5.99 per month. That's brilliant for someone like me who can't afford nice things anymore.

It's funny how often they aren't mentioned (probably more than they _are_ mentioned here at KVR) but that company SoundMagic who only seem to make sampled instruments have started getting into effect plugins (compressors, EQ..) and one of their last plugins was literally and 'Auto-EQ' thing.

You can get a demo to test it if you like (drop-out every 50 seconds). They really don't get much love round these parts, and very few folks speak about their products with any positivity (if at all) so we don't know how much joy you'll get from it, but it might be worth a try! They might have figured out a genius way to track the fundamental better than others?
