i sayed "it could",...i did not say: "he needs"......(you are turning my words around)egbert101 wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 2:31 pm Why does he need a lawyer? All he needs to do is give licenses to the distributors. Unless we are not being told about what is going on.
=> i just wanted to point out, that it even might have a deeper sense that there was no communictaion coming from TAL so far.

So are there people who have still not received licenses for their TAL products? Isn't Audio Deluxe based in Tennessee? So what kind of "US Distributor" could there be for TAL products?
At any rate, information travels at the speed of light so there's no good reason that licenses should be travelling at the speed of a carrier pigeon in 2023.
I made a non-TAL purchase from Audio Deluxe yesterday and it went smoothly. Licenses were delivered in under 45 minutes so that's acceptable. I'll certainly do business with them again in the future if the deal is right but this is not a good look for them.
I also still plan on purchasing TAL Drums at some point so no hard feelings towards them either. I think this whole ordeal was just simple human error which is forgivable. However trying to blame some phantom "distributor" isn't really helping AD's case.

Ordeal? Where? I bought and now I am waiting. No ordeal here. I think a bunch of you are your own worst enemy and turned it into an ordeal for yourself.

Ok Nancy then "episode", "incident", "situation" pick one that doesn't trigger you.
I think you're just being a contrarian sycophant if you think this error by Audio Deluxe or whoever is at fault is perfectly acceptable.
Let's call it for what it is....to accept payment for a product and then not deliver that product is a crime in every country on this crap hole of a planet.
I'm not accusing anyone of criminal activity, rather just incompetence but unless you're wearing blinders this is not a good look for those involved.

People who have waited up to three years to buy a plugin suddenly can't get through the weekend without it.

You're right, of course, but, I guess, in the age of electronic delivery in the blink of a button click, you just expect to be able to use your software right away. At least I can understand why it's disappointing for the people who ordered.
It's also disappointing that they dropped the sale after few hours, when they realized they obviously can't fulfill the orders. Which tells me that they knew exactly that they only have a limited amount of licenses, by the way.
For me, this whole thing was to create clicks and attention, nothing more nothing less.

Thank you for your order. You would probably receive it instantly if you order directly from TAL. Do you want me to refund you so you can do that?

I'd received my TAL J8 license and IK Tape freebie within a few minutes of ordering. I didn't buy Drum because I have no need to yet-another-drum -sample-playing plugin. That would be annoying to wait, but... it's not like anyone spent a ton of money only to not get anything for it.

Going by one of Uncle E's replies, it sounds like the vendors don't have the licences at all, and they request them from a sort of "license warehouse" at the time of purchase. This same thing would have happened at jrr. It's a weekend-long supply chain issue, I'd hardly even consider it a mistake on anyone's part. The demos still work while everyone waits for their license.chk071 wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 4:03 pm
