So is it true that in order to use the new features of mk3 keyboards like grouped parameter pages, that you need the vendor sdk? Can you not create your own mappings this way? Freelance sounds, who have lots of nks bundles for sale, have said they can't use the new features without the sdk.

I noticed that I haven't bought anything from NI for many years. When I think about it, the only thing that might make sense would be an update to Kontakt 7. The really cool things like Absynth were discontinued instead of being developed further. MassiveX was more of a disappointment. OK, many still use the sample libraries and have the keyboards... but that's about it.
NI was bought by investors. At the same time, Plugin Alliance was bought by NI? Slate Digital was also sold, but to another audio company. Does U-He still exist? You don't hear much about Urs, as if development has stopped there.
All in all, it's a strange development in the audio industry.

I think all DAW and VST development has slowed down…the market has been saturated for some time and most people probably already have enough stuff to last a lifetime. Unless someone does something really interesting or new I just can’t see the need to buy much of anything anymore, and NI are at the opposite end of interesting and new…
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Given that there has been lots of release news on the front page of KVR and threads about new updates for U-He stuff lately, yeah I'd say they still exist.4damind wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 4:09 pm I noticed that I haven't bought anything from NI for many years.
