Any DAW maker could release the most complete, bug-free, community-pleasing update, but these days, some bitter user will have them know within minutes that, unless they add this crucial, essential, unforgivable to forget feature, THEY ARE DONE.

What is the benefit of the companion over authorizer?

Now there is only one additional software to install besides Reason itself. Companion can handle Reason "native" and Reason+ installations. Before that we had to install Companion for Reason+ and Authorizer for Reason "native".

Lots of people (clearly not me) were complaining that the authoriser wasn't native Apple Silicon...kinkajou wrote: Mon Oct 09, 2023 12:39 pmNow there is only one additional software to install besides Reason itself. The Reason Companion is.
Also the UI is a bit more practical and it is easier to uninstall stuffs.

Will this actually do anything to improve the workflow in Reason as a DAW that hasn't seen much development over the last few versions?

Reason as a DAW ? I thought everybody was using it as an RRP now
For me the best way I found to improve Reason DAW is to move to Bitwig...
But 2 years after I still use a lot Reason as an RRP, it is still a fantastic inspiration machine and works perfectly with Bitwig...

OK Reason Companion is already annoying me, whenever I start up Reason it starts up too and gets in the way, I only see Reason when I close it
