$80 should be full price

Does that upgrade price include Taylor Swift concert tickets?

When I first saw the announcement I figured no brainer, I'll upgrade. Been thinking it needs Effectrix needs resizing. But 80 dollars? No. I have Infiltrator 2, which is plenty for glitch.

For a legacy effect plugin that was outshined by Izotope's Stutter Edit 1 and 2, I guarantee their Black Friday sale is going to be even more discounted due to the lack of people forking out almost $100 for an update to an already dead plugin. For one...their marketing is terrible because I never even got an email about it...and I'm subscribed. I own Effectrix, and Stutter Edit 1 & 2. The first time I used Stutter Edit was the last time I used Efectrix.
...and the electron responded, "what wall?"

I have Stutter Edit (1 and 2) and much prefer the effectrix interface. However Infiltrator outshined effectrix with a similar concept I think.

Infiltrator 2 is a great plug. I don't have that one...yet.

Yeah, the price is quite rough. Has anyone tried it yet?

Effectrix was never one of my go-to effects from SB. Artillery and Turnado are the ones I use most often. Interestingly enough Artillery is now gone from their lineup. If SB would do a 79 bucks update for Artillery I would actually consider it. Maybe even for Turnado.

Anyone knows why Artillery is gone?
Neon City for u-he Repro - 80s pop & Synthwave soundbank
HARDWARE SAMPLER FANATIC - Akai S1100/S950/Z8 - Casio FZ20m - Emu Emax I - Ensoniq ASR10/EPS

Izotope's Stutter Edit and Devious Machine's Infiltrator are good but both require "software centres" and an internet connection to activate. Effectrix only needs a serial number that can be copy/pasted offline. I prefer this customer friendly approach to copy protection.
eh?

Post

Is there any reason to get this over Glitch 2?

Post

The in-built mod system is quite interesting (checking the video at SB-page recommended). I'll give it a try before starting to rant about 'missing' new features.

Post

Well we know how much Turnado upgrade will be

Post

In most cases when there was a new product like drum computer the upgrade from full bundle was $49
With a new product. But effectrix 2 must be a joke

Post

Is this backwards compatible ?

Here's what SB wrote back to me on thsi issue. I emailed them back suggesting that if so many customers are complaining about the prices, their rationale is irrelevant. No matter. Lots of other plugisn and plugins like Effectrix out there so no need for me to spend $80US.

I also let them know if they switched to subscription they will have lost me as a customer completely.
We are sorry that the price feels too high for you, but please understand that Effectrix2 is a complete new development. We created it from scratch, all effects were rewritten and we have
put maximum effort into every aspect of it. As we decided not to follow the trend of subscriptions, we always need to find a reasonable price.

Best,
Your Sugar Bytes Team
