Agreed. It was going to be an instant buy, as I’ve loved everything else they’ve put out, but a subscription based synth is a hard pass. There is way too much competition for that route.

Same for me, I use Rift all the time and from the IG teasers it seemed really promising. Rent to own is great but a subscription…come on…they really f**ked up.Polytone wrote: Wed Oct 11, 2023 2:40 am Agreed. looks great but I have no interest in a sub service for a synth - the content update stuff that seems to drive the subscription is of no interest to me. I have some of their other products tho - a very good company

Half an hour after the announcment and across 2 forums it's 10 posts - 0 in favour of this being a bad decision.
I'm making it 11.

Well, I will double up my post on vi-c laughing at a subscription based basic soft synth. They need to quickly realise what a cock up this is and release a lifetime licensed option, that doesn't include a "stream" of presets you don't need and didn't ask for every month.

Was in hyper for this. Saw tonight the product page. What a complete joke. I have all their apps and soundpacks but from now for me minimal audio is a company to avoid.
I stay with my 100€ Pigments 4
I would be surprised if they sell even 1 sub

Honestly looks REALLY good, but sub-only automatically disqualifies it. I’m subscribed to enough absolute necessities I don’t need yet another open wound that constantly bleeds money.
What an utter shame.

Really hoping Minimal Audio rethinks the subscription or offers some kind of alternative permanent license that gives you less samples or something but gives you the full featured synth. Otherwise I'm not interested.

I have a lot of great synths that I payed around 100$ for each. I'll spend more time with those.
