Putting a browser like that into the synth and requiring a subscription doesn't say "musical instrument" to me, it says "content delivery platform."

I'll join the chorus of '**** No' to this. I really like (or at least used to like) Minimal Audio as a developer and own Cluster Delay, Morph EQ and Rift. While I've subscribed to suites of products in the past like Slate and Kush Audio before, but there's absolutely no way I'm subscribing and paying a monthly fee to a single product. That's unequivocally a hard pass.

What they should have done is offered the synth itself with an 'intro' of presets/features, then offered future 'packs' as either standalone purchases or subscription. I wouldn't have had any problem at all with that. You buy the product based on its current merits or not. Give me the option to purchase future additions or not. I'd certainly would have demoed it and considered buying it. Now, I won't even bother to demo it. Zero interest.

This whole subscription model for anything and everything has gone too far.

I would buy this synth instantly. It even has adjustment mpe curves like equator, that's awesome.

But I will never subscribe to a synth plugin.

I think a synth also being a content delivery platform is fine as long as the synth itself is good and doesn't feel like a glorified shop window. Pigments lets you browse and buy preset packs directly in the interface, but it's not in your face and there's no subscription.

It quite sums it up.
Only one who seems happy with it yet is people's wallet.
