Does the $200 include the effects?

Yep, it includes all the effects inside of Current's effect rack and the other effects we're planning on adding to it. Just to be clear, the audio engine (oscillators, modulators, effects, etc.) will always be the same regardless of how you purchase Current. It's the huge library of content that we're going to separate out as "expansion packs", which we think makes sense because we got a lot of feedback from people saying they didn't want to have to pay for it. Hope that makes sense

Not really, in the end Oracle won that case. It's still up in the air pretty much. While you
can sell second hand, you have to do it in accordance with the authors rules and can
become liable if those rules are not met by the buyer.

I think $200 gives you the synth and the included FX as of the launch deal (?)
It looks like any new FX to be included in the “synth only” will cost $49 (?)
Or $49 is for individual plugins outside the synth but included in the synth because of te subscription fee (?)

The dev answered the question regarding effects already on a certain space dedicated to gear.

Every effect, sound engine, modulator, and update, that we add to Current will be included for users regardless of how they paid for it.

The effects will continue to be available to purchase individually as well, which has always been the plan.

Yeah would be cool for both positive and negative speed, however the same can be done by using a modulator and scrubbing the position positive and negatively.

Regardless of whether you’ve purchased a perpetual license via the one time fee, purchased a perpetual license through the rent-to-own program, or do not have a perpetual license yet and have access via the rent-to-own program.

The question they were responding to was

Assuming that the perpetual version includes all the built-in effects, will any additional effects added by future updates also be included free-of-charge for perpetual owners? Will any new sound engines be included free-of-charge?
