1. an attempt of login ends with an error: credentials don't match or user doesn't exist
2. an attempt to restore the password ends with an error: email not found
3. an attempt to create a new account ends with an error: Error creating Account - make sure Email, username are filled out, and passwords match; Username or email may have been used as well!

Almost a week ago I sent a request to the site admin (bjporter) but got no response yes (the PM seems still not read)

Could I get some advice from you?
I have exact same problem and did exactly what you did.
Same here ! I also sent a PM with my ratings if that can help.

Anyway enjoyed the ride. Had a good time going through the tracks and finding some inspirations here and there.

I did vote yet previous week. After that I had to scatter songs a bit more across all tiers, since initially, the weight was leaning toward 5 too much :)
Personally, I have only one favorite I would like to prize with max points. Not that others are worse - just this one hits my heart so much. But in the end, I've decided to leave more songs in this highest tier.

Still have problems with fair voting. Should I focus on composition while sound design is suboptimal? But maybe that sound design is intentional just not my cup of tea. Should I prize more either songs I like to listen to or I believe are objectively better?

Anyway, I feel that harder to dial in synths equalize differences between composers/producers. And this challenge was such a case. Also, a lot of songs have "lo-fi" or "chip"-like feeling. There are a few opposite examples though.

Question to some of you. Seeing you in every competition, do you have time left to write other music?

Usually not that is why I skip some months in order to work on some of my other tracks when I don't find the OSC synth pick inspiring enough.

In the back of my head, I have this concept of an album made exclusively with reworked/remixed past OSC entries (without the OSC restrictions of course) but it will probably stay there forever.

Also voted... on time! Just forgot to comment on the thread.

PS: The voting system is something we all agree to disagree here so vote as you please. There are no guidelines and each one of us has his own criteria.

As said above - we all have different ways of voting. Do whatever is important to you. It should all average out over 30-40 voters.

My system is:
1: Something clearly wrong
2. Ok. Not very exciting in any respect.
3. Good. Well composed/designed.
4. Great. Songs I want to listen to again on my person playlist.
5. My top 3 very favourites. Something special.

Ref your question, I usually put most of my monthly effort into OSC because I find it the most rewarding. There are plenty of people playing, listening, commenting and advising.
Any remaining time - I often do the KVR Music Cafe contest (if the theme inspires me). But the engagement there is lacking.
I have done very little other music since I discovered KVR stuff at the beginning of 2022.
I was working with my friend on an album - but he had his first kid in late 2021 - and doesn't have the energy for it now. Hence why I was looking for something new. And I love OSC!

Cranking out one song a month for OSC works well to keep me composing and producing for fun. The only music I would do outside of OSC at this point would be if I could make money with it (crass but true). For people who have an artistic goal of putting out songs or albums as art -- or for sale -- OSC would be kind of limiting. I've done the SWC a few times but usually don't love the themes and the community is not nearly as nice or as much fun.

I really enjoy doing OSC.
