You have to go back 30 something to get to the beginning at this point.. So much for bookmarking this thread to keep up with actual news about the plugin anymore..Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sun Oct 15, 2023 1:56 pm Read the last several pages of this thread stating just before last weekend. If KVR has a heart for small developers they should delete everything from page 139. Just imagine someone reads this thread and stumbles on that part. Totally useless and depressing (except my posts of course).

When shit happens, expect discussion of said shit, it is what it is. That said, hopefully anyone who had ill feelings at some point in this, uh, situation, lets those feelings go with a big deep breath in and out. It ain't necessary or helpful to hold somebody's small business venture in bad feelings or decide you're gonna split on them when you'd previously been a big fan over an error that has happened before with plugin companies big and small.
Usually "loyalty" is just a marketing term that big companies use to try to keep you buying stuff with endless "coupons" that are actually just the business model... Here, I feel I've seen an unusually high incidence of people saying Patrick went very specifically out of his way to help them with features/updates/etc., so the "loyalty is a two way street" talk from earlier in the thread seems out of place, that IS loyalty. I'll be glad to give TAL commerce for another synth or pick up Drum in a (real, intended) sale, personally, based on my experiences with J-8. Also kinda thinking about picking up the current version of Dub, in no small part as a "hey, thanks" since I used the freeware one ages ago quite a lot but I bet it also sounds good!

Move on because it probably will never happen again. u-he TyrellN6 is a quite decent free alternative.

Tal's own Noisemaker is actually an excellent alternative. Even though it's free, I like it just as much or more than the J-8. In many ways more powerful and versatile, plus just sounds great.Uncle E wrote: Sun Oct 15, 2023 8:37 pm Move on because it probably will never happen again. u-he TyrellN6 is a quite decent free alternative.
