"Version 3 introduces 3 new oscillators, 4 new effects, MIDI Out support, new scripts, numerous workflow improvements, and an updated and refreshed factory library. All you need to jump-start your creative process."
.. we'll see about the workflow. UVI Falcon was by far the worst workflow of any of the big complex synths/samplers, in my opinion. They have quite a lot to improve if they want to make it anywhere near intuitive or quick to use.

Credit due to Jehovahlicious at VI-Control.
Yeah, boggles my mind that the thing still doesn't have a proper browser even in v3, but the fans will love it.

Whoever got his head around Melda's plugins will be ready to operate Falcon.bmanic wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2023 4:48 pm UVI Falcon was by far the worst workflow of any of the big complex synths/samplers

I'd have to agree here, yes. Personally, I'd love to use Falcon in more productions, but it's just not built to give the speed advantage vis-a-vis workflow that I can accomplish much more easily in other products. Granted, none of them seem to bundle these functions under one roof the way Falcon does, but the speed advantage is hard to ignore.bmanic wrote: Mon Oct 16, 2023 4:48 pm "Version 3 introduces 3 new oscillators, 4 new effects, MIDI Out support, new scripts, numerous workflow improvements, and an updated and refreshed factory library. Someone recently wrote about how Falcon's oscillators seem "dated" or flat and that comment's been sitting with me for a few days, especially as I work with Phase Plant, Massive X and have test-driven Current. Still sitting with that one...

To each their own. Coming from a background in Photoshop and IDEs falcon makes a lot more sense to me than some skemorph of a 70s moog (beautiful as they are). I just wish modulation was handled better like in Pigments or Phaseplant.

The new features are good, but...
What I really want from Falcon is to eliminate wasted time automounting many libraries!
There is a tip, but it's not very appealing.

Midi out support is welcome. Now it needs audio in as well, but that would make most of UVI's standalone fx less valued maybe?
But I want it
