Honestly, when asking this Q the very best advice is to Hire a Skilled and Experienced Mix Engineer. Learn from them if you want can/want. The reason for this is that Mixing is as much an Artform as playing geeter, singing, painting nudes... Not seeing it that way and working outside or even against your aptitudes is just as silly as the Ferrari F1 Team hiring a blind quadriplegic to drive at Le Mans - you can only hit the wall.
