I always wanted Platinum anyway because I record live tracks all the time,,which Pro didn't do,it only imported wave files,so I would have been upgrading.
Decided to buy Orion Platinum

Nothing at all to do with trusting or not,the Pro licence transfers I was offered.

Welcome to the club!
Check out
http://www.orion-center.com
for extra patches, skins, etc.
Kriminal also offers a bunch of excellent presets for Ultran, drumrack, etc. I think he has the URL in his sig on his posts.

The Synapse forums are good places to get pointers on how to work with OPlat, most folks are pretty friendly and I've always gotten an answer (eventually lol).
I believe you'll find some Ultran patches on both PatchArena (www.patcharena.com) and Orion Center (www.orion-center.com). SF2s for the sampler, the RGC Forum has a sticky for soundfonts that you might find useful - more than any human could ever use, at last count.
Welcome to Orion-land!

I'm a true loyalist to Orion and Synapse and Rich Hoffman. It was love at first site for me, and I've been married to Orion for 3-4 years now (typical guy response to marriage length.
)
It was 'my first', and it will be with me till I die.
Hope you are even half as enamoured with yours.
Bones - naw, he's alright too. Just think of him as your 8th grade shop teacher, or a gun dealer in Allentown - that's Bones.
Welcome aboard compadre!

I know I should get over to the Orion forum to ask this stuff and I will,,but I'm here now..

But it will always show 999 in the display. I think someone did a test and found Orion capable of 2000-3000 measures maximum. So if you ever want to do Stairway to Heaven/Autobahn/American Pie medley - there's more than enough room for you.

Yeah, this used to bug me a little, until I learned to stop worrying and just play! I typically use patterns of around 2048 to 2800 for really long-form ambient audio masturbatory stuff, which at a nice slow 80-90bpm turns into one hella long tune! Now I decide how long I want the tune to be, max, make a single "lead noodle" pattern that long, and then structure everything else around it - nice and simple. My tunes tend to be 1/3 long patterns and 2/3 4, 8, or 12 bar patterns for drums/bass/bed tracks (pads and such).Steven West wrote:But it will always show 999 in the display. It just takes a bit of getting used to.

I'm glad you guys are here right now because I just found that 10,000 limit.
I know what your sayin ..
but I'm up at 300bpm for some drum things,,so unlimited would be best..
scratch that..it is long enough,,I just can't zoom in to see the whole 10,000
