"Mr. Fish" is a great title! Bravo BONES!
Well, even though I feel fine with Bitwig, but S1 has really a great design and workflow. It also has a great cpu performance and stability (with my pc and audio interface). The only thing is my mind is keeping paranoid about small bugs. Maybe I should give it a good chance and stay away from plugs that causing such bugs! I don't know. It's not easy to decide about S1!

Can you setup the poll so that when someone submits a vote for "No, I Use A Different DAW" it deletes their vote and locks them out of the thread?
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

The open DAWproject format was introduced in version S1 6.5 and is accessible only in the paid versions, so... yes.

I had to go to UK, so had the good fortune of missing the vote. Likewise, I had nobody to vote for, so I had a good excuse (though I suppose I could have registered for a postal vote). I didn't vote AND don't use S1, so I'm a double winner

I still have SO v5 installed but I mainly use Cubase now. Just waiting for PreSonus to fix the automation rendering bug from 2017, then I might reconsider it.
Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

I still have S1 5. But since moving over to Nuendo I've no intention of moving back. But I work in audio post.

But for me, I've voted today then i started a new project in S1! "Maybe I like misery!" as Mrs Doyle said in Father Ted

Upgrade is available at thomannmusic.com for $105 right now.fedexnman wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 12:43 am I might upgrade on Black Friday or Cyber Monday if they do a sale . I'm on version 5 still
I upgraded myself a couple of days ago as I don't see it being available much cheaper even on Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Ive used Ableton since 2011. FL Studio around the same time. S1 has some serious functionality with the macro bar, sequencer, and now with Dolby. The most underrated DAW of em all IMO.

Agreed - think they've ditched the (big) discount sales strategy entirely... 'plus' is the way forward for them...Late_Bloomer wrote: Tue Oct 10, 2023 10:47 pmUpgrade is available at thomannmusic.com for $105 right now.fedexnman wrote: Sun Oct 08, 2023 12:43 am I might upgrade on Black Friday or Cyber Monday if they do a sale . Also, for those in the UK try this link for the upgrade (£105):-

I'm not upgrading - happy where I am with S1 v5; its perfectly fine and useful. My money is waiting for a lucky 13 upgrade to drop...

Patiently waiting to 6.5.1 - as soon as that gets here - I am installing. Sitting comfy on 6.2.1 right now.
And waiting for 7 will be like waiting for inflation to come down. That is a 2025 thing with ease - can't imagine wasting a whole year waiting for that.

Might upgrade my StudioOne if blackfriday on nov 24th have 50% off like they have just about every year.
Seriously disappointed with what Reaper 7 offered so no go with that one. Checked that out today.

Where's the voting-option "I don't know - we'll see"?
I'll probably not upgrade at full price, but if there's another sale for the V6 upgrade I might go for it after all... so I literally have no idea at this point.

I'll expect a 30% off Studio One, Presonus only had a 50% off back in 2016.lfm wrote: Tue Oct 17, 2023 9:55 am Might upgrade my StudioOne if blackfriday on nov 24th have 50% off like they have just about every year.

On Facebook 2016 Upgrade Offer Other outlets might add to that.
Studio One 7.0 could well be released sometime in the fall of 2024 as version 6.0 was released on the 29th of September 2022. A 6.6x version of Studio One is a possibility before then.
I know when I upgrade from 4.6 Pro that there will be a bucket-load of new features to explore. 6.5 is very tempting atm and like you, if S1 is discounted heavily, it could tip the balance to grab it.
