Falcon already has a ring modulator in the effects. It's in the legacy category, but it's there. I've used it on all of Falcon's oscillators. The frequency shifter effect module can do similar things, and has a few features the ring modulator doesn't.
I know, but I meant per voice

It can be per voice if you use it at the lowest level of the hierarchy. That's how I've always used it.

Falcon 3 has MIDI out and we can use all the fancy sequencers to control other VSTs?

Ok I was assuming it would be free.... but indeed if it is a major version it could also be a paid update.
I jumped on-board when it was v2 already, somebody rember what was the upgrade cost from v1 to v2?

Edit: doing a bit of archeology,I found that the upgrade (in 2019) from v1 to v2 was free....

Congrats UVI....

It was indeed free, but I have no expectations that they'll provide free updates forever.

I can't even think of a time I'd really want to do that. I use different key-groups for different sounds and I expect to set them all up uniquely.

So no updates to the browser ? Tagging our own content still not a thing ?

How about locking midis cc’s to midi controllers ? So when you switch patches we don’t have to keep reassigning them?

It's not true, that you can't do it at all. You can select keygroups either on the keyboard layout or in the list view and for these selected keygroups then you can change a parameter for all in one go.

But yeah it's not consistent in every term, as you mentioned with the tree view example, where this doesn't work but should...

I think this is a trend for companies having a very popular product and willing to use it as a platform to distribute content.
Phase Plant for example has free upgrade but push very hard (and well) presets in its marketing.
Same with pigments and the capacity to browse from the synth, and even more for UVI with a super rich and tasteful library. I spent more money on content than in the synth and I think I am representative of their "lambda" client.

As someone who paid for MachFive3 and again to cross grade to Falcon, that also owns a dozen or so UVI libraries I'm glad UVI isn't milking us for upgrades.

Even with it's complex somewhat clunky interface I often think I could use just Falcon and be happy.

Synplant 2 for a modest upgrade fee and Falcon 3 for free. Big month! If I can get into it I'll probably enjoy modding UVI presets from things like Synth Anthology 4, etc. using Falcon 3 and beyond. I'm glad Falcon 3 has a pretty decent amount of new stuff that is included in the upgrade. I'm interested in discovering the new enhanced Falcon 3 factory bank. I personally only like the non Falcon expansions UVI makes but I'm partial to them compared to even the Arturia Collection FWIW.
