I have none of the Collection 4 effects and they're still offering 129 euros. I would say that is fairly reasonable but I don't actually need any of the effects so I'll pass!

Demoed EFx Motions for a day now- I definitely prefer shaperbox 3 (but then I have been using it for a while and am familiar with it) but a great addition to the 'collection' if you don't have anything like this.audio/fault wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:57 amsame for me... quite strange. though i also have shaperbox 3, so i'll pass.Meester Smeeeth wrote: Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:27 pm €129 for fx collection 4 for me and I have everything in 3 apart from the rotary speaker.
Athletically Motions is also one of my least favourite of the FX suite.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I would like to install and try out my new plugins, but, like on every product release, both the Arturia Software Center and the Arturia account management on their website are completely unresponsive, and simply don't work.
Time to rent some more bandwidth, Arturia.

Same here. Have FX 3 plus the other effects bar the Rotary and also have the latest V collection.Meester Smeeeth wrote: Tue Oct 17, 2023 7:27 pm €129 for fx collection 4 for me and I have everything in 3 apart from the rotary speaker.
I contacted sales about a discount and they just pointed me to the FX4 + Motions (which they called a "free gift") deal for 129.
I could buy Motions for 49 so that means I'd be paying 80 for the Rotary.
The were offering FX 4 upgrade for 29 at one stage but I am not at all interested in the Rotary since I have the UA and IK Leslie.

Time for them to invest in a better loyalty system.
If FX5 has interesting stuff I will upgrade from FX3 to FX5 for 100 then, IF.

Same here on the off chance anyone from Arturia is reading. Effectively paying €80 for rotary speaker in the upgrade when you have everything else in FX4 is crazy. I'll just hold out for a better deal which there will undoubtably be at some point even if that means waiting a year for FX5.dermage wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 1:30 pm Exactly the same situation here.

It has been repeated several times that, for example, if you have FX 3, then upgrade to FX 4 plus Motion right now at $129, you don't surrender FX 3 which you can then sell as your loyalty "discount". I always grab their new fx plugins at introductory price, and by the time the new FX package upgrade comes, i sell off the previous purchases and get my upgrade for essentially free, give or take $5. It's actually the best loyalty program imo. Arturia gets their money, and you get discounts via people who want to buy on the used market.
That's why you always see people selling the previous bundle as soon as the new bundle is released

Bit offtopic, but, I really like the FX collection. All high quality plugins IMO. So far, I didn't have a single one which sounded bad.
I really feel like I could "live on the bundle" alone, and not use anything else. Which is rare for a collection of plugins for me.
Only thing I would criticize is something which has been mentioned by someone here elsewhere: The plugins all introduce some latency, which might add, when the plugin chain gets longer. Hopefully Arturia will address that in an update one day.

Any owners of DS Tantra 2? What's the strengths and weaknesses between that and Motions?

that‘s an awful loyalty program. why should i spent time coping with the second hand market, when arturia knows what I already bought and could easily take this into account, when upgrading? like many others do.kevinsparks wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 5:59 pm It has been repeated several times that, for example, if you have FX 3, then upgrade to FX 4 plus Motion right now at $129, you don't surrender FX 3 which you can then sell as your loyalty "discount". Maybe they think the offer is good enough
Don't think they're obliged to give a better one.
Btw. I'm in the same boat so I'm on the fence myself. Not much in the v4 update I want/need.

Can't be so bad if it succeeds at making me upgrade every time regardless of whether I really want/need the new releases or not. The deal is simply too good.audio/fault wrote: Thu Oct 19, 2023 5:10 amthat‘s an awful loyalty program. why should i spent time coping with the second hand market, when arturia knows what I already bought and could easily take this into account, when upgrading? like many others do.kevinsparks wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 5:59 pm It has been repeated several times that, for example, if you have FX 3, then upgrade to FX 4 plus Motion right now at $129, you don't surrender FX 3 which you can then sell as your loyalty "discount". Anyway since I don't have Shaperbox/Effectrix/Infiltrator yet, it's a no brainer.
