The market forces sellers to listen to feedback, otherwise they go out of business! Usually those with big egos eventually realize their own self-sabotaging behaviours and do what's best for their business and eventually the customers. Unless of course you create a cult, like Apple, and then you get to dictate everything to your mindless followers.

nowhere have i suggested i am 'against feedback'... that's ridiculous. and fixed this for you:Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:11 pm You could say that about any feature of a product, or any policy. What's wrong with feedback that could be better for sales? Did you see what just happened with Minimal Audio and Current? With your logic everyone should have just shut up and accepted it. But they said what they thought and the devs changed the policy, hopefully in a way that will work out better for them and everyone will be happy. It's a win-win. Why be against feedback, how does that do you or the devs any good?

again, i don't get why a developer can't do as they please, as long as they accept the consequences of their actions? that is how adulthood works...

A pop up that periodically reminds you to feed your cat and changes the synth to cat sounds while the pop up is present would be epic. Every 10th pop up should be a Rickroll.MrJubbly wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:11 pm
- No restrictions of presets and no time limited demo. Just a friendly reminder to be a decent human being, with a minor noise burst every now and then.

I don't know man, seems needlessly antagonistic of a simple critique about demo policy. Pretty defensive, and now it's something to do with adulthood? Really weird. I guess everyone should have just accepted that Minimal Audio should have done as they please and gone with the subscription model. Because that's adulthood right?fisherKing wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:24 pmnowhere have i suggested i am 'against feedback'... that's ridiculous. and fixed this for you:Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:11 pm You could say that about any feature of a product, or any policy. Could the two be combined ~ with a pop up of 'Synthesizer Cat' displaying, whilst the cat "meeeeooows!?" ... or are the two mutually exclusive?
I draw the line at Rickrolls though. Unless, the audio playback is sped up, to sound like Kylie Minogue.

what does minimal audio have to do with this thread? anyway. if it's okay for you to repeat your POV endlessly, i guess i can too, altho... here i'll stop.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Wed Oct 18, 2023 7:32 pmI don't know man, seems needlessly antagonistic of a simple critique about demo policy. It's 6 hours people! Six hours!! Six hours over one week! If you can't make your mind in that time, I suggest you go to see a psychologist! Really!
We have a time to write for half an hour but we don't have time to test the synth? Come on! Let's be honest with ourselves.
We should be less selfish, and stop behaving like spoiled children, maybe?

The synth is very good.. so it's boring to discuss it.

I agree! That was the last time I write about such things.
Let's discuss the technical issues and bugs better.

i like this plugin, it genuinely reminds me of my brother's hardware OBX, and it's fun to play with (and capable of so much more than the original). if you want an accurate X emulation, this is pretty accurate...
